Hello, Moon. It’s great to be back.
Here’s a taste of what the Artemis II astronauts photographed during their flight around the Moon. Check out more photos from the mission: nasa.gov/artemis-ii-mul…

Thank you @Lin_Manuel for writing so much of the music that helps make cool gene regulation research happen!! #LabHam

#DearEarlyScientists, update. Testing lab findings from mice on yourself is risky, but informative. A "metabolic double bind" developed by @SigCris in my lab shows promise for modest tumor control in the PI. I have requested less diarrhea in future iterations. You're welcome.

English

#DearEarlyScientists If you experiment on yourself based on results uncovered in your lab and cause yourself explosive intestinal distress with a risk of shitting your pants in a Whole Foods store, tell the information desk. They will be helpful and supportive.

@GreggNeuroLab It's such a huge disappointment, and in a state that needs a lot of work in promoting it.
English

#DearEarlyScientists, the state of Utah has banned DEI on the UofU campus. For the many vulnerable groups for whom this creates fear, know that this genie ain't going back in the bottle. Diversity and compassion makes a better work environment and society, period.

Best quote so far at the @imoworkshop from the brilliant Dr. Joel Brown - "There are things that are worse than being wrong in science...your work could be trivial." #MoffittIMO

Shouldn't have to be paid less and in student loan debt to stick to the work your passionate about!
christopher gregg@GreggNeuroLab
#DearEarlyScientists, I worry about your finances. Carrying student loans into 5+ year PhDs and postdocs only works if there is a big financial payoff at the end...and there isn't. NIH can't fix it. I favor removing barriers to help industry work with and boost pay in academia.

This week is National #PostdocAppreciationWeek. Zannel Blanchard, PhD (@xedbee) is a postdoctoral fellow in the Welm lab. She explains the role of a postdoc, what inspired her to become a cancer researcher, and why she loves working here. #HCIproud

#DearEarlyScientists, take, value, and defend time each day for deep focused work. I protect my mornings. No meetings before 12PM. Email can be done late in the day when your brain is cooked. You need to write, think, analyze, and get shit done. It is critical. No guilt.

@GreggNeuroLab @SigCris I do love a good hammock session!
English

#DearEarlyScientists....hammocks make everything better! - brought to you by @SigCris ....a super talented scientist I get to work with everyday 😀!

English

@JasonSynaptic @GreggNeuroLab Location location location!
English

@GreggNeuroLab @SigCris Haha. My PhD advisor once asked us if we wanted to use a hammock put in up in his office. Not many takers…
