On July 31, 2003, in South Africa, a gang hijacked a car carrying Janine Drennan (24), her 1-year-old daughter Kayla Rawstone, and grandmother Hester Rawstone.

Is this what a Two Oceans Marathon PB feels like?
After everything I went through in March, and on my 8th attempt at that silver, I can finally say,I did it. Beyond stoked to have achieved this, even without the preparation I would’ve wanted.

There is only one way to run 2 Oceans as an “elite” and if you are fast.
You need to go through the marathon in 2:16/2:18 at the slowest. Anything slower and you setting yourself up for the bunch to break you on Constatia. ❌
You see 90% of these guys can’t run a sub 2:20 marathon ( and we call them elite lol) and going through 2:16/2:18 is there PB and will break them.
What happens at 2:22 or so is that you running “their” pace and then you will be going up Constatia at “their” pace.
NEVER run a hill at someone else’s pace. Your legs will not handle. ALWAYS run up a hill at your own pace when in a race.
If Mokoka did this the last 2 years he would have a titles. IMP
