That’s 8 to 10 years and $150k in debt to start at $55k in a clinic.
An HVAC tech trains for 3-6 months, spends $8k, starts at $55-65k, and if they open their own shop they’re clearing $200k within 5 years.
We have a mental health crisis AND an HVAC shortage at the same time.
Both matter. Only one gets a guidance counselor pushing it. And it’s not the one that actually pays.
