I'm definitely more high on Danny Ings than Nathan Redmond, and I'm higher on him than I was yesterday. He was a good PL penalty box striker 5-8 years ago, and even 3 seasons ago he scored 8 PL goals. If we can keep him fit there's no reason he can't score goals in the Championship. He's barely played any football in the last 2 years but looking deeper it turns out for a lot of that he has at least been available. Still match fitness issues and concerns at 33 whether his body can handle the Championship. Then again, he's a type of striker who has never relied on massive pace or athleticism. For me my issues come with his lack of recent minutes (just over 1000 in 2 years), his mentality (which could be fine), how he just isn't the type of striker Ruben Selles usually wants (that issue might be sorted soon), and his wages. I don't think he's a player that makes us any more likely to be successful this season and there's a part of me that would rather give those minutes to Ryan One. That's too many gambles for me which stops me from declaring him to be an obviously good signing like some are but there's definitely a chance it works. #twitterblades #sufc
