Regrettably, the story is misleading, is a work of editorial fiction, and is intended to inflict injury. It is a fundamental principle of journalism that reporters should report the news, not manufacture it. When editorial standards are compromised in this way, public trust and our freedoms are put at risk. I remain fully committed to representing the interests of the citizens of Zimbabwe and to advancing the struggle for a better country. In due course, I will be rolling out a plan aimed at achieving that goal. Any attempts to distract us from this objective will not succeed. Thank you for your consideration of my take. The South African government claims this is about compliance, but in reality, it's a system of state sanctioned theft. While other corporations have quietly paid for political patronage to bypass these rules, Musk is calling out the corruption. This 30% norm hasn't empowered the people, it has simply enriched a circle of political elites. Most businesses take the easy way out and pay the bribe, but Musk has the integrity to stand his ground and expose the rot.

Those precious and YOUNG lives lost were all from the MUJURU FAMILY. I was out of the Country when this TRAGEDY happened, and I am even more SADDENED that our dear brother RONALD MUJURU, lost his beloved WIFE and all FIVE of his CHILDREN in this gruesome accident. May their dear souls rest in ETERNAL PEACE. 🕊️ It is the most difficult and UNIMAGINABLE thing for any parent to bury a CHILD, but to bury FIVE CHILDREN and at the same time, bury your WIFE is the MOST HORRENDOUS thing that no human heart should ever be asked to endure. My brother Ronald, NO WORDS can ever console you, nor can they restore what has been taken, and no one can imagine waking up to such a CRUEL REALITY. The loss of an entire family dims the very PURPOSE of waking up each day and WORKING HARD for those we LOVE the most. @KMutisi Your reasoning does not sound like that of a professor. Obviously SA has its own reasons for amendments that does not imply Zim has to do what SA does. These are two different countries with two different constitutions

The South African Constitution is 30 years old… and the MK Party is pushing for a 22nd Amendment (To expropriate land without compensation). This means, in 30 years, the SA constitution was amended 21 times. In 13 years, the Zim Constitution was amended 2 times only. But Zimbabweans will be falling over each other on @SABCNews & @eNCA to demonise Amending the Constitution… Folks like @mawarirej & @BitiTendai will talking as if it’s criminal & unethical to Amend the Constitution…. Constitutions can be amended, & they will be amended as many times as needed.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY: It is unthinkable that any rational or patriotic Zimbabwean would reject this core principle: the Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF)—like the State itself and every government institution at every level—must uphold the Constitution strictly in accordance with all its provisions. There's no other way. Upholding the supreme law of the land demands total fidelity to all its clauses. Selective obedience is not obedience at all—it is a betrayal of the founding values and principles of the Constitution!
