That is the problem.
Homer’s Odyssey already represents a world. Greek myth, Mediterranean memory, war, exile, homecoming, gods, kings, loyalty, and the ache of return.
Lupita is talented. But talent does not mean literary understanding.
Read the epic before you explain what it represents.

Sin On Wheels, by Loren Beauchamp (aka Robert Silverberg). Midwood Books, 1961. Cover by Paul Rader. Silverberg did a number of these for Midwood. Owner Harry Shorten was trying to compete with Beacon Books, especially in the erotica market, and had a small stable of writers to rely on: Orrie Hitt (who could do a book every two weeks in his prime), Donald E. Westlake and Gardner Fox all contributed along with a few others. Midwood merged with Tower Books in the mid-60s before the disaster of the Belmont-Tower merger in 1971, where the combined imprint seemed to wander aimlessly between genres until it stopped publishing in the early '80s.
