@NeilWeinberg44 Man, really hard to fathom Verlander averaging 240 IP 15 years ago and throwing 120 pitches yesterday. Is he as close to LeBron as we have in MLB?

@SlangsOnSports @jaysonst Not clinching a berth, but 1960 WS Gm7 had the same scenario for a championship! Down 7-4, up 9-7, tied 9-9, then Maz's walkoff to win it

the Mets are the 2nd team to clinch a postseason berth in a game where they trailed heading into the 8th, took a lead (or tied), then fell behind again (or tied) and then retook the lead in the 9th inning, joining: 9/18/1903 Pirates: 2nd g DH vs Boston Beaneaters (now Braves), down 4-3 entering the bottom 8th, took 5-4 lead, Boston tied it 5-5, PIT won 6-5 in bottom 9th THAT WAS TO REACH THE 1ST WS EVER! twice…vs same franchise h/t @EliasSports

@StelliniTweets I also think prime Greinke could have done it, but then he would play coy and not acknowledge having seen the tweet or doing anything because of it

@StatMatt2718 This is a great list. I think one postseason run moves Embiid up to as high as 4?

@DannyPage I think cricket restricts "hat trick" to wickets on 3 consecutive balls, and uses "3-wicket haul" for non-consecutive. (I'm a noob but that's how I've seen it used - in particular a "hat-trick ball" is the delivery after two consecutive wickets)

@PFF_Moo I remember watching Tartakovsky's show when it came out and thought it was the coolest animated show (Grievous was actually intimidating) - but Filoni's show retconned it which always left a bad taste for me

Do you mean the Kevin Millwood who was with the Braves for 6 seasons [a team with zero no-hitters since April 9, 1994] and was traded to Philly and threw a no-hitter in his 6th start as a Phillie? Why, yes. Yes, I do.
Jim Shaw@JimShaw39

@_piccone Do you have any clips of former Brave Kevin Millwoods no hitter from 03… just to stir the drink a bit more?
