That Netanyahu ordered the devastating strikes on Beirut from an American city is only appropriate. The genocide of the Palestinians, the slaughter of the Lebanese — all the carnage Israel has brought to the region has only been made possible because of the billions of dollars, unbridled support and genocidal lies provided by this country.

So many people in Lebanon unable to bury their loved ones who were martyred due to the intensity of the attacks & Israel’s very long track record of targeting people as they mourn.

Urgent: loved ones are raising mutual aid relief funds for folks in South Lebanon displaced by the Zionist entity, which has killed hundreds and displaced thousands from their homes. $ will to to medicine, food, & housing. Please use the words "solidarity donation" in the memo

There's nothing “precise” about levelling entire buildings to the ground in a densely populated area.

This is not an operation on a frontline, but a mass terrorist attack targeting thousands of civilians. They exploded people who were driving, people who were at home with their children, people who were shopping in busy areas. Israel is a terrorist state.

In a single moment, a displacement camp is turned into a mass grave. Families sheltering together in a tent, suddenly burned and dismembered and pushed 9 meters into the earth. In one moment, an American bomb and an Israeli bomber can just kill all these families, just like that

Someone retweeted this again, so shouting into the void that there are only 5 of Szabó’s novels that have been translated into English and that feels like a crying shame / missed opportunity!

I finished this book last night. I know it sounds like hyperbole but I think it’s one of the greatest things I’ve ever read. I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to come across it. I want to throw it at everyone.

There is something kind of sociopathic about dwelling on words when the bodies of children are being torn to shreds. The only explanation is that your sense of superiority causes you to think that your feelings matter more than their lives.

meanwhile kanafani, ‘My political position springs from my being a novelist. In so far as I am concerned, politics and the novel are an indivisible case and I can categorically state that I became politically committed because I am a novelist, not the opposite.’
