@Ossie_Ozwa It depends with the number of adult pple in the family... more than 4 adult family members costs a lot uchidya at an average of 3 meals per day... talking of bread only in the mng for breakfast per day you need $1 each day thus $31 for breakfast without eggs or polony, ko lunch?

@nickmangwana Ohh Nick, is there a Chigananda threatened by Cimas and wants this operational modality changed. A Chigananda wants to open a hospital and Cimas has to be out of the way, no? You only act if Chigananda interests are threatened, not us. Takosha nhasi???

We are coming up with a Statutory Instrument to stop Medical Aids from also providing services, as there is a serious conflict of interest threatening the existence of independent medical practice in Zimbabwe. Being the insurer and the provider has resulted in numerous challenges that we seek to correct. Some medical aids are fighting this SI by hook and crook because they have been benefitting from the clear conflict of interest and anti-competitive nature of this arrangement. We notice that the state media seems to have been dragged into this and have not even cared to hear the Govt’s side. We are very disappointed to say the least. Furthermore, on the question of authorship: an opinion must have an author. How can we have an opinion that is said to be done by a "correspondent"? Whose opinion is that? That would make readers believe it is the paper's opinion or a corporate-sponsored opinion. State Media has a responsibility to refuse to publish such. When a "correspondent" is listed instead of a named individual, the reader cannot assess bias, motive, or accountability. Is it the newspaper speaking? A hired public relations firm? An anonymous corporate interest? In matters of public health policy, where billions of dollars and the viability of independent medical practice hang in the balance, anonymity is unacceptable. State Media, in particular, has a duty to model transparency. Publishing unattributed opinions as if they were news or editorial consensus deceives the public and undermines trust. If an opinion is worth publishing, it is worth signing. Govt insists on this principle, and State Media should refuse to publish any opinion piece that hides behind the vague label of "correspondent." heraldonline.co.zw/opinion-zimbab…

@IntlCablesNet The information that 2 gunmen appeared... who supplied that information...also if the person was suspicious from the Beginning and if he had notified the police earlier...why didn't he include the police when he was going to deliver the parcel in a bush area?

Saruwaka Death Exclusive | The sudden death of vibrant political activist Kudzai Saruwaka yesterday did not happen as a result of ill-health, motor vehicle accident, food poisoning or drowning. The exclusive intelligence detail we have gathered is as follows: Kudzai left Zimbabwe in a huff after receiving a tip off that a team of lethal system operatives had been assigned to "deal with him" regarding his close association to late Blessed Geza and their spirited anti-2030 campaign. He flew out of Zimbabwe on the 20th of October, 2025. Apart from his political activism, Saruwaka was in the mercantile business of branded door and entrance hall rugs, mats and carpets which he occasionally advertised online. Early November, he received a "business" call in which a potential client ordered some of his merchandise. On 20th November, the first R9,000 was paid into his account. The initial payment was quickly followed by two other payments a few weeks later. What surprised Saruwaka and his team was that the client never expedited any of the payments through EFT but chose to deposit via ATMs. After the successive payments, the mystery client went silent and never supplied Kudzai with a delivery address. Saruwaka then tried on several occasions to reach out to the client but to his surprise, the number was no longer in use. Upon getting suspicious, Kudzai rightfully decided to play safe and report the transaction to the police who recorded every detail as he provided. January 2026 passed with no trace of the client and Saruwaka went back to update the police and asked for their help in tracing the mysterious client. Suddenly, last week, the client called Kudzai with another number asking him to deliver the consignment in the Mabopane area in Pretoria and sent location. Upon checking the surroundings via mobile, Saruwaka realised it was a secluded bushy area with no buildings at all. In hindsight, Kudzai hired an Uber which took him and his delivery consignment to the given location. As he was about to reach, he called the number and again, it was no longer going through. A few moments later, the mystery client called with another number telling him to come to another location a bit further into the bushy area. When Saruwaka arrived at the location, two gunmen appeared from the bush and started firing at the Uber vehicle before Kudzai could come out of the car. Sadly, both Saruwaka and the Uber driver died on the spot. While giving feedback to Saruwaka's business associates, police said nothing was stolen from the car including the delivery consignment for the case to pass as a robbery. A murder file was therefore opened. There will be a follow-up report on this matter on this handle in a few hours. May Saruwaka and the Uber driver's souls rest in eternal peace.

@nickmangwana @InfoMinZW After the Trabablas Interchange, Highglen Rd at Masimbi has become dangerous for pedestrians. Drivers speed into a residential area & the traffic robot is malfunctioning. Lives have been lost. We applaud the project but urgent safety measures are needed.

You, @Cde_MMChinomona, are an ultimate embarrassment to Zimbabwe, including ZANUPF. How can the President of the Senate of an entire country involve herself in a radio station’s fun poll about Person of the Year while more than 2,500 women are dying during childbirth, the biggest hospital has only one maternity theatre, the whole country has no single working radiotherapy cancer treatment machine, unemployment stands at over 90 per cent, citizens receive only two to four hours of electricity per day, and the country is facing an open succession war. You are determined to embarrass not only the country but also your boss and the President by publicly fighting over a radio station poll. This is political and media illiteracy of the highest order. ZIFM is a youth radio station. Its audience is largely young and unemployed people. It is therefore natural that its listeners would relate to and support Fadzayi Mahere, a young lawyer they see as speaking to their lived realities and struggles. Have some shame, Madam, and focus on statecraft, not radio polls. For the President of a country’s Senate to threaten a radio presenter with persecution over a light-hearted poll is a new low for Zimbabwe. It reflects a complete lack of emotional intelligence, a deep misunderstanding of media and youth culture, and political bankruptcy. Shame on you. For the avoidance of doubt, I had not seen your tweet. A regional foreign affairs minister asked me what is going on. Stop this childish four year old behaviour. You have sunk from the gutter into the sewer. You are internationalising your lack of common sense and embarrassing yourself on a global stage. A whole ruling party getting hot under the collar over a fun radio poll? Shame on you. To quote Fadzayi Mahere, Zimbabwe needs new and mature leaders, not skunks like you, ma’am.
