Labor pilloried Peter Dutton for announcing he would make cuts to the public service. Labor screwed up the budget in not accounting for the additional salary increases etc for the additional 41,000 people they’ve hired and now this. afr.com/politics/feder…

@ajphelo @BeeSting Aussies need to start taking how they vote more seriously - preference choice & how candidates are numbered matters. He won with 34% of the vote & won 94 seats because of preference flows. That’s how a dishonest govt who didn’t earn a 2nd term now think they can do what they like.

Imagine you are a paramedic on duty in Melbourne. You stop to get a coffee. Then, in a completely random and unprovoked attack, a Somalian Muslim named Mohamud Ali rushes up to yoy and stabs you in the face and neck, trying to kill you (all allegedly). You are now in Royal Melbourne Hospital’s emergency department in a serious but stable condition. That’s the reality of life in "multicultural" Melbourne in 2026.

PINK BATTS 2.0 Add it to the list. Everything Blackout Bowen touches ends in complete and utter disaster. Bowen’s latest catastrophe is the so-called “Cheaper Home Batteries Program”, where he’s torching taxpayers’ money and handing out free cash to households to install Chinese made batteries. Firstly, there’s the financial disaster: the cost to taxpayers has blown out from the original estimate of A$2.3 billion to A$7.2 billion. But the real scandal is far worse. An audit by the Government’s own Clean Energy Regulator revealed that a shocking 60.8% of inspected installations were substandard and 1.2% were outright unsafe. Project those numbers across the full 250,000 subsidised batteries and you get 152,000 homes with dodgy, substandard rubbish — and 3,000 homes sitting on dangerous, unsafe batteries. All paid for by taxpayers. What a monumental, unforgivable clusterf**k. Let that sink in. This brainless fool Bowen has blown billions of taxpayer dollars, and now 3,000 Australian homes have unsafe batteries installed thanks to his unique blend of incompetence, arrogance and ignorance. And here’s the kicker: Bowen had the Pink Batts royal debacle staring him in the face as a crystal-clear warning. Yet he learnt nothing. He’s repeating the exact same deadly mistakes on steroids. This is yet another unmitigated, taxpayer-funded catastrophe delivered by a bumbling, incompetent fool who is single-handedly smashing electricity prices through the roof, wrecking Australia’s international competitiveness, and baking in crippling inflation across the entire economy — so bad that Australia now boasts the highest inflation in the developed world, apart from Russia. Bowen must go. This level of reckless destruction is unforgivable.

I ran for the Senate because I wanted to help make politics about people again - not multinationals, vested interests or party donors. And that's why our campaign to get a 25% gas tax matters. Public pressure has made politicians pay attention and we have to keep it up because it can help make sure in one of the wealthiest counties on earth (and biggest gas exporters in the world), more Australians actually feel the benefit of our gas exports. Head to ourgas.com.au to make your voice heard. thesaturdaypaper.com.au/news/economy/2…

Dear Australians, You are not experiencing a cost of living crisis, you are experiencing a cost of government crisis. The hallmark of EVERY socialist regime, in history, around the world, has been high inflation. If the calculated inflation rate is nearing 5%, then the actual inflation rate is more likely closer to 7% or more. This inflation is (almost) entirely driven by government policies: money printing, high taxation, high regulation, high-debt, preventing supply (over-regulation), ramping up demand (immigration). If actual inflation is at 7%, it means that the price of everything is doubling every ~10.5 years. A house valued at $1mil today will be $2mil in 2037. A $2 7-Eleven cup of coffee will be $4 in 2037. A $150 purchase of petrol will be $300 in 2037. theage.com.au/politics/feder…
