@ProfJLake I would also say 1 since in sports you would see it more frequently than the second one. If I had to choose but for sure I'm working on both!

Sooo, sports scientists and S&C coaches, what’s more important to you, and why: 1. The amount of force an athlete can apply during a given amount of time 2. The rate an athlete can apply force Please explain why if you have the time/energy/inclination and please RT

@AdamMeakins I was just thinking that one rep max deadlift with a movement in the spine creates alot of pressure on one vertebrae (where it bends) and thus could cause damage. Compared to same movement but lower weights since it should cause less pressure. No citation here just a thought 😄👍

Apart from the direction of gravity being different how is rowing any different from a deadlift to the spine? 🤔 Discuss and provide drawings and citations if possible… thanks! 😬

So many people are telling me that rowing doesn’t load the spine the same as deadlifting, therefore flexion is ok during rowing but not deadlifting! Maybe I’m just thick, but I don’t get it… 1/2
