BREAKING - USA! USA!— Artemis II astronauts have just now pushed the human spaceflight farther than ever before Astronauts aboard Artemis II have reached the farthest distance from Earth ever achieved by humans, surpassing the long-standing record set during Apollo 13. This milestone marks a major step in NASA’s effort to return humans to the Moon for the first time since the Apollo era more than 50 years ago. Artemis II is the first crewed mission in the Artemis program and is designed to test deep-space travel systems before future lunar landings. The astronauts are traveling in the Orion spacecraft, which is carrying them beyond low Earth orbit into deep space—a region humans have not visited since the early 1970s. Their trajectory will loop around the Moon and back to Earth, validating navigation, life-support, and communication systems for longer missions. This phase mirrors Apollo-era missions and is considered one of the most technically and psychologically critical moments of the flight.
