15 year-old Liverpool midfielder Luca Eden once again captained England U15s last week - here’s how he performed.🤯🏴
Luca captained England against Brazil and South Korea, and he was one of the standout players in both games. Attached are some clips from those matches.👀🎥
Luca began the season playing up an age group with the U16s, while also making 10 appearances in the U18 Premier League. Earlier this year, he became the youngest-ever Liverpool U18 goalscorer.⚽️
Prior to last week, he had already captained England U15s multiple times across the past year - what a season it’s been for him.👏

For me, the biggest exclusion from the final 26 - on form - is Bournemouth’s Alex Scott. Best tempo-setting, ball-playing English midfielder of his type I’ve seen in latter stages of this season. His reaction to being left out in March speaks volumes about his mentality, too.

@England_Pod @SamWallaceTel O’Reilly you would think would start but you have to hope that Tuchel understands the way he plays for City isn’t like a standard left back, more hybrid leftback/midfielder. You’ve got to hope Tuchel has a plan for that. Not having a natural left back is quite bizarre though.

@johncrossmirror Not having a natural left back is a concern,neither O’Reilly nor MLS are what you would call natural.I hope MLS is back up for midfield though because if it falls on Henderson to start any game,we are screwed!Got to keep Anderson & Rice fit. No other like for like replacement

@MirrorFootball Those weren’t the three I was thinking about. Musiala fine but how about Olise and Semenyo? McTomminey and Rice would not work well in midfield tbh though. Haaland was never likely, only born in Leeds due to his father playing there.

@CountSeeLore @TedKessler1 @JackPittBrooke Everyone has an opinion which I respect and I would understand it more if he adds value on the pitch but imo he doesn’t especially with better options who suit the system. midfielders ahead imo, Anderson, Rice, Garner, Scott, Mainoo, Jones, Wharton, Morton. Hendo isn’t close imo.

In terms of preparation in the England set-up, Henderson has had a lot more of it, plus he's a leader in the camp. I have no issue swapping them come the squad after the WC but now isn't the time to put new players in
