The Championship is a tough league to get out of (in a positive direction that is). One more goal in either the Coventry game or the Middlesbrough game and you’d have been in the playoffs. Unlucky. Go again.

I am completely gutted by today’s result but incredibly proud of our season. We’ve come a long way in five years and this was the best result in our 150+ year history. More to do. But for now, we have so much to be proud of, Reds.

If anybody has said that Wrexham would finish 7th and miss out on the playoffs by a single goal in the final game, people would have laughed as if some kind of fairytale. That fairytale almost came true. 7th position is a phenomenonal achievement in your first season in the championship.

@AshWil31517 @GrahamSmyth Spot on. Every player needs to be 20% better. So this isn’t about bringing in one or two players…. It’s about a whole squad clearout. Every game is like a Cup match a PL side v a lower division side. All heart and running no results.

Just one lifetime ago in the UK, our grandfathers could buy a home, buy a car, have 3 to 4 children, wives could stay home, take annual vacations, and then retire… all on one middle-class salary. What happened? We had same day GP, ambulances within minutes, dentists, good education, decent public transport, clean river and beaches. So AGAIN WTF happened?
