I'm heartbroken to share the news that we lost our beautiful Laura in the early hours of this morning. She was fierce & tenacious to the end & it was truly the honour of my life to be her mum. We are devastated at the thought of life without our girl, she was a force of nature💔

Unfortunately one of Laura’s Ommaya reservoirs has failed, it’s leaking fluid & needs to be removed which is a bit of a blow. Radiotherapy has made the skin on her head paper thin & it’s just not held. She’s been admitted to #SalfordRoyal & hopefully have the surgery tomorrow.

By the end of this wk Laura will have had total 40 #radiotherapy sessions The shell is tightly fitting for accuracy & it’s fixed to the bed so a bit uncomfortable & not great if you’re claustrophobic, but it’s pretty quick, just hope it’s working @BrainTumourOrg #Glioblastoma
