"The phrase 'brass in pocket' came from some guys in Wakefield I knew, in a band. They had been to the dry cleaners, and one asked: “Was there any brass in pocket?” I heard it over dinner." - Chrissie via The Guardian in 2023.

@LouHaigh Which jobs is it securing, what about motor spares companies that sell us spark plugs, etc, will no longer be needed. Local garage won't be able to fix an electric car. This is the government forcing us into something we don't want, not giving us a choice.
@MartinSLewis@CitizensAdvice we have had a z flip 4 for 15 months on contract. It started becoming faulty a week ago. @O2 & @SamsungUK won't do anything about it seems these phone companies have you over a barrel no phone but still have to pay for it 😡
@Debbie_abrahams But I already have a job. You say we're paying the highest rates of tax in 70 years under the Conservatives, yet Labour isn't cutting any taxes, won't answer the question on fuel duty or council tax. Will charge tax on the state pension, so where will we be better off.
The Tories crashed our economy & have presided over the greatest ever decline in living standards.
My pledge to residents across Oldham is that I will fight for fairness starting with the creation of secure well-paid jobs across the constituency.
A Labour Government will help us #fightingforfairness
Vote Labour 4th July 🌹
