President William Ruto today claimed abroad that his government has NOT taken World Bank or IMF loans for Affordable Housing. That Kenyans funded it locally. That's a lie. The records I have tell a completely different story. In 2024 alone, the government received over $250 MILLION linked to housing support from the World Bank. I exposed this months ago here on my X sholla Ard, and I’m attaching the evidence again in the replies. Example: • April 28, 2024 - over $6 million disbursed • Another $7+ million around the same period • More funding continued after that • And right now, Kenya is still pursuing another World Bank housing loan So who is lying to Kenyans? Because here’s the part that should anger every taxpayer: Kenyans are being deducted Housing Levy salaries every month. The houses are NOT free, they are being sold. Construction materials are tax-free. And on top of that, foreign loans are still being taken. So the same project is being funded FOUR different ways while ordinary Kenyans struggle to buy unga, fuel and electricity. And despite all this money flowing in, the full expenditure data is hidden.
