Just to make sure it's as cruel as possible...

Google killed travel blogs
Google killed niche sites
Google killed flight search
Google killed job search
Google killed directories
Google killed financial advice sites
Google killed info sites
But we shouldn't use techniques that go against their guidelines because that'd be anti-competitive! 🤠

I’d rather die than get a normal 9-5 ever again
The thought of someone controlling my movements and time like a kid makes me feel sick
That’s why, no matter what, I’m building something
Even if it all comes crashing down, I’d start mowing lawns for $100 a day or sell everything and move to Thailand with a couple mil in the bank

@SearchForRyan Have to admit… I’ve really gotten into paid ads recently. I love SEO .. but also like being able to generate leads within days using ads

Our first £8k day in bookings.
My wife is now nearly at our target for 2025.
I love SEO, and we still get enquiries every couple of days through the website.
But the immediacy and data from Facebook is insane.
I look at it like this:
1. Links cost me £500-£600 to build a month and will *maybe* move the needle.
2. FB ads cost me £200-£300 of the available £500 and returns me 10-20x ROI.
I can leverage this data for all future campaigns.
I can still build local landing pages and GMBs in specific areas to complement my paid campaigns.
(I’m also the most impatient man on planet earth. So this isn’t all rainbows. I have a lot of panic moments).

Google: DON'T SCRAPE!
Also Google: Scrapes Everything...
Google: DON'T USE AI CONTENT!
Also Google: Immediately Implements Its Own AI Content Into SERPs.
Google: JUST CREATE GREAT CONTENT!
Also Google: Favours authority over better quality niche content from real experts.
Google: WAIT FOR THE ALGORITHM UPDATE!
Also Google: Updates continue to do the exact same thing.
Google: OPTIMIZE YOUR SITE!
Also Google: But not too much, unless you want to get hit by an over optimization classifier but we don't tell you on which pages.
Google: DON'T OVERLOAD ON ADS!
Also Google: We'll just casually put four ads above the fold and try to cloak ads from users.
Google: MAKE SITES FOR USERS, NOT SEARCH ENGINES!
Also Google: But make sure it loads fast for crawlers, is mobile friendly, structured for our bots, and filled with schema markup and structured data.
