@FPL_Harry @SimonR_FPL @LetsTalk_FPL Really?? I checked with Solio and the difference between WC32 and WC35 is just 4.2 points. I would have to get the right players to stay ahead.

Instead of saying things like it's all theoretical, #fpl creators like @LetsTalk_FPL & @FPL_Harry could be saying to play the wildcard now (like me) specifically for price rises and then swap players once we have full info. Just an idea really to keep it interesting.

@FPL_Harry @LetsTalk_FPL I see where you're coming from, especially as I don't get heat for trying to suggest things to keep things fun but you guys get so much flak, it's silly when people can't decide for themselves what's best for their contexts.

@SimonR_FPL @LetsTalk_FPL Yeah makes sense I just suppose I don’t want to encourage people to activate a wildcard until I know it’s a strategy I like but of course for some it will happen regardless

@FPL_Harry @LetsTalk_FPL I'm trying to say the wildcard now has two different uses: 1 - increase team value - 2 improve your team.

@FPL_Harry @LetsTalk_FPL I'm not explaining myself well. You play your wildcard in order to play the markets due to the long break. Then you swap players at the end based on results to pick the optimal players for your strategy. Does that make sense? This is just a way to keep things interesting really.

@FPL_Harry @LetsTalk_FPL And also, when you have had such a bad season you have low team value. Remember, some of us play #fpl for the fun! We're not all chasing to 10K😀

@SimonR_FPL @LetsTalk_FPL That’s not good advice though IMO and not advice I’d believe in either. There is a very real possibility, albeit small, that wildcard 32 is not the play at all and the 0.5m you might gain is not worth that potential downfall.

The idea is help with making the use of the wildcard more interesting and useful during this long break.

Looking for a defender until the end of the season? #FPL Thiaw at £5.0m is surely the one. BTW, Thiaw has higher Big Chances / 90, Defcon / 90, xGI / 90 & minutes than HALL. SUN (H) or a good long term pick playable every week and likely doubles in 33 BOU (H), ARS (a).
