This is the moment the Ann Widdecombe murder suspect is arrested. The question that is not being asked enough is: Who is filming, why is there always a neighbour at the window ready? Presumably all filming we have seen of this individual is by the same person. Just an observation.

I live in a TINY village in sunny Somerset. My friend, who also lives in the same village, told me this morning that 3 African black men have been moved into the village. I’ve got a feeling they’re neither doctors nor engineers. I’m now going to have to go out in the evening to walk my daughter back from work at the other end of the village, because I have to. Devon and Cornwall Police said there was “nothing to suggest” Ann Widdecombe’s murder was politically motivated. The Government’s terrorism laws adviser says they broke the golden rule of investigations they should have simply said they had an open mind. Now Counter Terrorism Police have taken over the case after new evidence. Devon and Cornwall Police are under huge criticism now because of how they originally described and handled the murder.

MORE QUESTIONS THAN ANSWERS IN THE ANN WIDDECOMBE MURDER. Something doesn’t add up. Before a suspect had even been identified, Devon & Cornwall Police were publicly saying they did not believe Ann Widdecombe’s murder was politically motivated or terror-related. Now the investigation is being led by counter-terrorism police. On top of that, if reports are accurate that Ann Widdecombe’s WhatsApp was last active at 9:21pm on Wednesday, investigators also need to establish exactly who was using her phone at that time and what happened during those final hours and if it was possible she was being held hostage because they also said they believed she had died at midday on Wednesday. That could be a crucial part of the timeline. It all seems deeply unusual. The investigation appears to have taken a significant turn, and it’s understandable that people are asking what changed and why those early statements were made with such confidence. At the moment, this case seems to be raising more questions than it is answering. The police owe the public a clear, transparent explanation. Public trust depends on it.
