What sorts of cruel, heartless losers contemplate & implemente this monstrosity? Periodic obscuring of information vital to people frequently desperately anxious for said info Telling you name of ginormous complex. you’ve spent substantial effort to specifically be in?

4/4 asking "How satisfied are you with how hybrid working supports your work-life balance?" sounds even more complicated. It seems to be leading too as it implies that hybrid working does indeed support work-life balance. Any thoughts?

1/4 Question for @cjforms & anyone else who has any insights: I understand that statements such "Hybrid working supports my work-life balance" with an agree-disagree Lickert scale as the answer lead respondents to chose "agree" in a survey (due to acquiescence bias) but...

@emollick Interesting image - if I look at it from an angle I see this as 'flat', so a 2D motif rather than a cube. Other times I've come across Necker cubes my mind can only perceive them as 3D (with varying orientations).

Optical illusions can work as psychological tests. How often this Necker Cube “switches” orientation for you is correlated with your ability to come up with innovative ideas in divergent thinking tasks. (The average person sees 12-13 switches per minute) journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.117…

I am proud to announce that Zero Acre Farms, a company I co-founded, has released its first product, cultured oil. It’s low in bad (poly-unsaturated) and high in good (mono-unsaturated) fats. You can find it @ZeroAcreFarms.

Of course, I'm not going to do that, because that would be deeply deeply unethical, and unsafe. But still. If we can do it in that time frame, and at that cost, so could 10,000s of NHS providers

As a sequencing expert, the lack of rapid diagnostics available on the NHS is extremely frustrating Thread

This is another fantastic resource for folks interested in the history of women in software, particularly interaction design. (Some of these folks will likely be in the hidden heroes series as well.) womenofixd.com/did-you-know

Are there examples of #userresearch surveys that include checks on participants understanding/ perception of the questions themselves? I don't think I've ever seen this - it may be tricky to implement... @joelanman might know? #uxresearch

I’m always surprised when I learn about a new product that is actually a byproduct of animal agriculture. When you think about what it will take to reduce the reliance on intensive animal agriculture you probably think of meat and leather, but there are so many others!

Imagine how many new biodesigners there would be if every school had low barrier to entry biotech edu resources? If bioengineering wasn't just a privilege only expensive private prep schools had access to? The future's challenges will be immense but will our students be ready?
