Current perspectives on impact and digital strategy. I had a great time writing this with @GeorginaBrooke and I hope you enjoy reading this and find it useful. #Impact #Strategy

Why does digital strategy in the sector feel hard? Perhaps because we're not used to evidencing how digital impacts audiences @SimonTanner explains how impact frameworks can help culturalcontent.substack.com/p/impact-asses…

Africa does not lack ambition. What we lack is execution that delivers progress at scale. When conviction meets capital and scale, Africa can build. #AfricaWeek

Stop saying every screen version of Wuthering Heights is terrible, there is a perfect adaptation and it was made by Monty Python.

Love these recently found quotes from Charles Darwin of all his hates. Particularly the "I hate myself, I hate clover, and I hate bees". Source: the Charles Darwin Archive

Carol of the Bells in Kyiv subway. Voices of the Embassies of Germany, France, and the United Kingdom came together to perform Shchedryk in the Kyiv metro as a sign of solidarity with Ukraine. Thankful to everyone who stands with us!

📢 December Update – Online Education for Afghan Girls Dear supporters, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving hope, education, smiles, food, and basic needs to Afghan women and girls through your generous support. Here are the highlights of our work in November: 1️⃣ Internet Access We provided internet support for all students, teachers, and several women to stay connected. VPNs were installed due to app restrictions, and all students can attend classes until the end of month. 2️⃣ Supporting a Teacher in Need One of our teachers, a mother with small children, lives in difficult conditions—no running water, poor housing, and health issues due to mold. We were able to send her a small salary and a gift for this month. 3️⃣ Teacher Salaries We sent 40–50 USD to each of our dedicated teachers living inside Afghanistan this month. 4️⃣ Student Library Activities Weekly student-led events are held in our small library. Girls share knowledge and inspire one another education is giving them power and connection. 5️⃣ University Students Our university students are doing well and are deeply thankful for this opportunity. New students have joined and are excited to start soon. 6️⃣ Food Assistance Unfortunately, we didn’t have food distribution this month, but we hope to continue again soon. 7️⃣ Women Empowerment We supported one woman in starting to learn sewing. She is progressing well and hopes to be self-sufficient in the coming months. And program for mental health also going well. Please continue to support and share our cause. Your kindness makes all of this possible. t.co/f81pIfmdQd t.co/ZfsjhrBJS5 With gratitude, Yal

Our heartfelt condolences to Mthunzi Gxashe's family, loved ones, and everyone his life has touched. REST IN PEACE MTHUNZI GXASHE, ARCHBISHOP TUTU’S SON-IN-LAW & GENTLE SHADOW The Archbishop Desmond Tutu IP Trust and the Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation were devastated to learn of the sudden passing of Mthunzi Gxashe in Johannesburg on Sunday. Mthunzi was married to Archbishop Desmond and Mrs Leah Tutu’s eldest daughter, Thandeka. Mthunzi was also an under-stated and unsung hero who shadowed and served Archbishop Tutu through the final period of his working life. He drove the Archbishop, travelled with him, fixed and fetched things, provided companionship, and joined him in celebrating the Eucharist. His devoted service extended to Mrs Leah Tutu, and he was a valuable soundboard for the Tutu legacy organisations. Read more here: tutu.org.za/news/rest-in-p…
