Yesterday our fearless canines were called upon once more to keep our communities safe. Throughout the day and night many of our dogs and handlers worked tirelessly to restore order, alongside welcome help from our friends at @LancsPolDogUnit. No injuries, plenty of treats today.

There are a lot of fascists on our streets making lots of noise. They are massively outnumbered by the selfless, kind and compassionate, the people who know we have more in common than that which divides us. The people who know our human rights are universal. Us. All of us.

After all the casualties that this nation endured fighting the Nazi’s in WW2 - it’s astounding that anyone who considers themselves British would allow themselves to be associated with the Nazi ideology today. Shameful.

I am thinking of all my dear friends and colleagues who are not white. We can not share your very real fear, but we share your love for our country as it should be and a deep hatred of racism. We have beaten fascism before and we will do it again. We love multicultural Britain.
