We don’t do it because we’ll get rich or we have a good time. That will never happen. We do it because we are part of the 0.8% of the ppopulation that can raise crops and livestock. It’s in your blood. It’s bang up hard to do and make a living. We all have tough times where we question it. that’s being human. When I get down I go out in the pasture and fix fence, listen to the wind blow, and remember most folks never get to see the sun set over ripe corn, see it rise over fresh turned dirt that smells heavenly, or smile when we see the first leaves poke through the ground. It’s a privilege to be a man of the land, even if the economics are tough. So take a step back, slow down a mite and smile at a sunset over the fields. Won’t be long and you’ll feel right as rain.

At what point do us farmers just throw our hands up and park everything for a while? This is an honest question because the price of fuel is way too high along with fertilizer, seed, equipment, and insurance. It’s just not fun anymore #Agtwitter #AgX #farming #agriculture

@LoTaylor23 But the landowners - and those they invite in, like grouse-shooters - can do whatever they like. Yes, in places protection for nature should be certain, but that protection should apply equally to everybody

#RightToRoam - there is so little nature on these depleted islands, we need access to all of it

Primed and ready. Wildcat has a lean footprint of only 10 personnel to operate, but offers a huge impact with up to 20 laser beam-riding missiles.
@RoyalNavy Wildcat with AESA radar can hunt and destroy UAS from ship or shore, bringing flexibility and a rapid lethal response anywhere in the world at very short notice.

@ClarksonsFarm1 Good idea! We have The Trough in Somerset which is an excellent shop and place to eat.

@googlemaps Are you doing anything or happy to have large inaccuracies in your map?
English

@googlemaps Look at the Yeatman and Sons LtD postcode, it’s nowhere near that location. Their supposed location is adjacent our farm so is misleading. All I want is for you to move the mark to where the postcode says the farm is.

English

@googlemaps can you amend Yeatman and Sons so the business is pinned to its actual post code and not where this map says as it is incorrect and our farm is in this location.

English

@googlemaps I’ve now done this. Are you not interested in accuracy of your map?
English

@Simondrury1 @Simondrury1 Hi Simond, thanks for reaching out. Could you please elaborate on what seems to be going on with your Google Maps? Keep us posted.

We need to get real about sewage from animal farming - cow poo for example.
With nearly 10 million cows in Britain, each weighing ten times as much as a typical human and eating 50% more per kg of body weight - we have the equivalent of 150m extra people and their sewage to deal with.
Our human sewage system is at breaking point, polluting our rivers and seas - but unseen and un dealt with there’s the equivalent of another 150m of us taking daily dumps in the countryside and no system to deal with it or even take account of it. The usual bleating about adding costs and making business un economic won’t wash - dirty businesses need to clean up, we’re living in a Cows toilet right now.

@TWBFarms @GrahamDenny9 @agricontract @loosecollie @wheat_daddy @GBNEWS @TheFarmingForum Any farmer I have met has said their has been an impact to capital investment, not some.
What is the new investment which may be a resultant of the change to ABR & IHT, more offshore large corporations?
Weak at best.
English

So …… the not so “independent” Farming review
The one where it’s authour is told what she can or can not include
This stinks ……….💩

@LassHill @GrahamDenny9 Wish I was there!! Instead I’m at the solicitors signing documents mostly to do with mitigating the government’s IHT 💩show. It’s an absolute omnishambles! 😡

@JamesCleverly You should have asked them what planned investment into infra and machinary has been deferred. That’s real and immediate impact realised. The apprenticeship issues will be a longer term impact but we’re seeing investment decisions being delayed and reversed.
English

@Simondrury1 Can you call them, and not on the number on the letter if there is one?
English

@taylor_andrewj @RBoldan I bought it late October which is why it’s confusing me and I’ve had the log book issued. I kinda read the same and came to a conclusion that someone was attempting to receive a log book for it.
English

@RBoldan @Simondrury1 I believe this happens if a vehicle is sold without a log book and the new owner applies for one. The dvla writes to the old owner to confirm this is correct
