I don’t know what’s happening, but I woke up underwater this morning, this has never happened in Dubai ever. We have rain few times a year with small flooding but this time my crib turned into bikini bottom, all roads flooded with cars broken down all over, malls wrecked underwater & worst thing people hurt.
It looks crazy on camera but imagine losing everything you have because if it, shit’s sad.

This deeply personal moment shared by Adrian Edmondson has been nominated in the @radioacademy Arias Awards 2024 for Moment of the Year.
Adrian shared the moving story about Rik Mayall On Desert Island Discs with Lauren Lavern in September 2023.

@Ianauldnz @therugbycritic Yes, it does seem strange to have not been looked at. Huge call

@Bschaeffer1234 @dr_klassen @Rainmaker1973 That logic (because it’s not the only cause, let’s ignore the fact it’s the main cause) would be applied to no other risk or issue, ever. The “whatabout” responses will end up on the wrong side of history

According to scientists at NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) in New York, July 2023 was hotter than any other month in the global temperature record since 1880.

@jaredwright17 First real time the “bunker” system has been put to the test and world rugby have completely undermined it, just before the biggest rugby showcase.
Absolutely no incentive for players that tackle upright to change their technique.

@guardian Here’s a thought, it might not just be down to the manager…

@crockpics Little known fact about George is he had 3 legs
English

@AndyGoode10 This is surely common sense. The bouncing ball and Keenan’s height were mitigation, Steward tried to alter his position to minimise force of contact. Protecting players doesn’t mean sending off every head contact

@Conorwhelanire @m_keane @WayneBarnesRef @SixNationsRugby Which is fine, laws are to be interpreted which allows for opinion.. but those going after Barnes with personal attacks and claims of bias, I would be happy for them to follow another sport instead
English

@Simonetheridge @m_keane @WayneBarnesRef @SixNationsRugby well, the citing commissioner seems to disagree with the call on Saturday. The look of the touch judge was quite notable too.

How does a referee decide on the degree of danger when using the head contact process in rugby union?
The turtles explain all.
Hope this helps with this weekend of @SixNationsRugby.

@rugby_ap It’s crazy. He clearly explained his use of the framework. The “degree of danger” relates to the head contact and he explained why he thought that was lowered by the initial contact on the chest. All this “he’s anti-Irish” bollocks. Have a look at yourself

@Murray_Kinsella And should be used as an example of where a ball travels forward but is not a forward pass

What a first half that was. Dupont is another level #IREvFRA
