I don’t really tweet a lot on X. I would like to Thank to everyone who has supported me through the Heart surgery which took place on the 18th of November. Operation was successful and can’t wait to get back to playing football. I would love to thank the club @KilmarnockFC who has provided me the best surgeons and the best hospital to proceed with the operation. I would like to thanks my family, friends and whoever thought and prayed for me during this time. The recovery process has started straight after operation and it’s going pretty smoothly and fast. @BoldRover @medicaccountant Agree. Established surgeries need proper investment so we can improve access and services for all, whilst maintaining continuity of care which has proven outcome benefits for all.

Why not just fund the existing ones properly ! Another politician grandstanding and not really working out what the issue is. Continuity of care is far more cost effective than walk in services.

@BoldRover @medicaccountant Dying! Needs investment in surgeries in each community, not new walk in centres for the healthy mobile population who need access to the services least..

@b_d4512 I love being a GP and the portfolio career options are high. Lots of variety and easy to set new challenges every few years. Continuity rewarding as is autonomy of partnership. I’m sure psychiatry also ok though!

Had a psychiatry offer for my top choice, I have no clue what to do 😭 completely and utterly stuck between that and my GP offer How do I decide? I genuinely really like both

The reality of our current situation in Scottish primary care. Urgent investment in core General Practice needed to recruit and retain more very much needed GPs. Otherwise we a training GPs who can’t find work whilst access to GPs is insufficient. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
