I think we seriously need to start looking at Dowman as a starter in this team. I feel mental even saying that given his age, but he’s clearly got what it takes and is probably the most direct player we have. I don’t see how he’s any worse than an out of form Saka or Madueke.

I've been convinced that Gabriel Jesus still has a lot to offer Arsenal this season, but his performance tonight was worryingly ineffective. He had two weeks to prepare for this game but offered so little. Hooked after an hour.

A squad that gets paid £360m a year should be able to put on a better show than that in an FA Cup quarter final against a Championship side. Some real complacent performances. But also not the focus. Champions League and Premier League is all that has ever mattered this season.

I argued all week Raya should start and it’s not about doing the ‘I told you so’ thing. It’s very simple, one of our goalkeepers is far superior to the other.
