I don't think its appropriate to quote a book written in 1780 to falsify the axiom of an entire people. The said book is full of falsifications. In the same way you would dismiss me if I bring forth "out-group" accounts of Mohammad's "conquests" including varying interpretations of what went down after battle of Khyber and then proceed to connect Quran 69:44-46 to Sahih Bukhari 4428 by my own understanding.....that would'nt sit well with you ...right? Just like for you the word of Quran precedes that worldly account of an event, the same goes for us too. These events are attested to in Bani. Its not like I want you to "believe" in it. Dont. Just stop claiming you know the truth and an entire people dont. Very subalt thing to do.

The last of Sanatan Sikhs: Bedi Kartar Singh was the nephew of Sir Baba Khem Singh Bedi, chief of the Amritsar Sri Guru Singh Sabha and descendant of Sri Guru Nanak. When the Pujaris fled the Akal Takhat following the Khalsa Biradari Society’s takeover and the establishment of the @SGPCAmritsar, Kartar Singh joined the powerful Mahant Narain Das of Sri Nankana Sahib to call for a convention of Udasis, Pujaris and Bedis on the 12th of November, 1920 at the Sangal Wala Akhara near Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar.

The Khalsa Biradari Society, made up of zealous Mazbi, Ramdasia Sikhs and other lower caste converts from Islam, stormed the Akal Takht on the 12th of October, 1920, in protest of the discrimination of the Pujari and Nihang custodians. The group took over the Akal Takht causing the Pujaris and Nihangs to flee in fear of their purity and declared themselves as the Akalis- forming the @SGPCAmritsar and @Akali_Dal_. The new caretakers did away with most of the previous practices, including the slaughter of goats on Dussehra, as it was seen as a remnant of the old Pujari order.

Even Americans aren't this hated in Vietnam and they literally ravaged this country for two decades. We truly are something else lmfao.

#Vietnam reacts to India Today report on Indian tourists being treated badly Vietnam, in its response to an India Today Digital report, assured action after several Indian tourists reported discrimination during their visit. The tourists complained their experiences have been marred by uncomfortable and, at times, hostile interactions with locals. By: @priyartist indiatoday.in/lifestyle/trav…

@JATTopium @malwaiaggarwal >Sufi is more dangerous than sunni when it comes to conversion and killing others I think Sufi influence was main factor behind Greater Punjab's muslim conversion before and around the time of Baba Farid. Was that violent process? I always thought otherwise.

True. Aurangzeb was a run of the mill orthodox, ambitious emperor whose primary goal was the relentless expansion and absolute control of the subcon. To achieve this he fought ruthlessly against anyone who opposed his political authority. Including muslim groups. In fact, it is exactly what happened he spent the last 25 years of his life fighting a massive, exhausting war against the Muslim Sultanates of Bijapur and Golconda. The fact that they shared a religion did absolutely nothing to stop him from destroying their kingdoms to expand his own empire. So yeah a purely Muslim region would still see intense conflict. In the case of Aurangzeb's veneration by muslims , it is overlooked because he also happen to have been harsh on "Kafirs" and that saved his image. If it was all Muslim population region, it would still have been mired with Muslim civil war from Pashtuns, Afg, Kashmir, central to South India and he would have been termed as "Bloodthirsty".

Ironically, if he had only oppressed Bohras, Shias, Pashtuns, etc., Awrangzeb would've been regarded as a bigot. The fact that he was much more oppressive towards Hindus (and, to a lesser extent, Sikhs and Jains), as recorded in both foreign and native accounts, ironically saved him from being labeled as bigot. It led to a reactionary whitewashing by Indian historians affiliated with the Aligarh School. In post-independence Indian historiography, admitting that a major Mughal emperor was a fundamentalist bigot was seen as a grave threat to national unity.

Perfect religious excuse for a purely political conquest. He eliminated his own flesh and blood to secure the empire. he either killed or caused the deaths of his father Shah Jahan, his eldest brother Dara Shikoh, his youngest brother Murad Bakhsh, his second brother Shah Shuja, and his own son Prince Muhammad Akbar. All were Sunnis lol. If Bijapur and Golconda had been Sunni but equally wealthy, independent, and defiant, Aurangzeb still would have crushed them. Because Mughals previously fought and crushed plenty of rebellious Sunni governors and Afghan tribes.
