@SSCDCeliac @SinghMD33 @ChildrensPhila Brazilian experience: I attended patients from all Brazilian states. Remember we are a continental country. And, I attended Brazilian celiac patients who live in 15 different countries. Telemedicine brought patients closer to specialists.

@VanessaWeisbrod @SSCDCeliac GIP stool kits may be more useful than urine in certain settings given their larger window time and smaller amount of gluten needed. But like you said, these can be challenging to do and very few people want to conduct poop experiments unless you're a GI doc💩😆

@JackieJossen @SSCDCeliac Telemedicine can be very convenient for patients, especially those who live far from major centers. And my dietitian colleagues tell me they sometimes learn from seeing people in their home environment, particularly their kitchens. #CeliacChat

@CeliacBeast Totally agree Erica! Unfortunately, Dietician appointments covered by insurance (in person or telehealth) has been an even bigger obstacle. So sad since our dieticians are crucial in teaching and supporting us through the ups and downs of the gluten free journey!

If top celiac disease research centers offered insurance-covered telehealth visits to their physicians or dietitians, the entire #celiac community would benefit. #CeliacChat

@JackieJossen @SSCDCeliac Totally agree Jackie! GIP kits can also be pricey so they’re also not available to all families :( But as a telehealth provider, it would be nice to have these “snapshot” datapoints to assess dietary adherence too

@SSCDCeliac Would love to hear what type of situations providers/families have used these GIP kits too!

Got my COVID-19 vaccine and hoping all of you who get the opportunity do the same! Too many lives lost and millions of families affected forever from this terrible virus. Vaccines are our best chance towards a brighter future, but only if we do our part 💕🙏 #ThisIsOurShot
