back in 2020 I got really into the manifestation girlie side of tiktok, I started writing down what I wanted every week and reading it aloud to myself over and over again each day, trying to believe in my body that I was deserving of these things, much of what I wrote then has come true in certain but odd ways since, one thing I focused on, and the tiktoks said to be specific, so I wrote "a check, with my name on it, for $10,000" I was working to believe I was deserving of financial security, of feeling financially safe, something I'm still working on believing to this day, I'm not sure why it's such a hard thing for me to believe about myself anyways, fast forward to late 2021 and I am working as a directors assistant for major car commercials, the producer pulls me aside and says "hey, since [insert director's name] doesn't need you for the next couple of hours, can you run an errand for us? I already asked him and he said it's fine with him if it's fine with you" so I said "yeah sure, what is it?" he said "we need more petty cash" he proceeded to tell me how they were going to give me a check and I would go to their bank in Hollywood and show my ID and get the cash, I would be walked back to my car by the teller then he handed me a check: a check with my name on it, for $10,000 sometimes God laughs in your face I guess

I quit vaping entirely! Using low dose nicotine gum for now but I'm really proud of myself. :)

Never in my entire life has a boyfriend given me access to his credit cards and savings and paid for my rent or lifestyle, not even once. Not even come up in conversation. It would be weird for a modern woman to do this. This is a fantasy dreamt up by incels.
