Singing Streets New York, out this week, has 90 @bobdylan locations including: Dave Van Ronk’s apartment (where #dylan slept during his early New York days); where he signed his first Columbia Records contract; many album cover sites, such as “Highway 61 Revisited” & “Oh, Mercy”.

On 6 July 1980, @bobmarley performed his final outdoor concert, at Dalymount Park in #Dublin (his last ever gig was in Pittsburgh in September 1980). Dalymount Park is the home of @bfcdublin, who in 2022 used an image of Marley on their away jersey (see shop-bohemianfc.com/products/marle…).

As well as 1,700+ New York spots, the new Singing Streets release has many London additions, including the album covers of @rodstewart's 'Gasoline Alley' and @ledzeppelin’s 'The Song Remains The Same'; where Iggy Pop wrote 'Raw Power'; where Sex Pistols’ @JonesysJukebox grew-up.

On 30 November 1994, Tupac Shakur was shot five times in the lobby of @QuadStudios. The incident, which @2PAC felt had been a set-up, was later seen as the start of the East Coast/West Coast Hip-Hop feud. Located a block from @TimesSquareNYC, Quad Studios remains in open today.

Built in the 1880's, the Chelsea Hotel has housed many Singing Streets favourites from Dylan (who "stayed up for days writing Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands") and Patti Smith, to Leonard Cohen and Janis Joplin (who “fell into each others arms through some process of elimination”).

For much of the '70s, @LouReed lived in the loft over @TheStonewallNYC in Greenwich Village. Site of the 1969 Stonewall Riots, the bar continues to thrive; in 2019 @taylorswift13 showed up during the 50th anniversary Stonewall celebrations. Singing Streets #newyork coming soon!
