Nolan's Odyssey is a comic book about the Odyssey.
It's NOT Greek epic poetry.
It's NOT a historical documentary.
In fact, the American accents and fantasy RPG armors are deliberate stylistic choices to take the viewer OUT OF the historical immersion, so they instead can get more immersed in the hostility, danger & absolute strangeness of the world.
If everything was historically accurate, it wouldn't feel THREATENING at all!
I saw some autistmaxxers "fix" the trailer and it looked like something straight out of fucking Xena.
The raceswaps are Blackrock budget-bait so he can make the movie more epic.
They're also mostly minor characters- the actual movie will be overwhelmingly White- so no worries.
Movie gonna be a BANGER.
Shut the fuck up.
