Helen Roseveare, a missionary who faced intense suffering and persecution during her 20 years of service in the Congo, shares one of the times that she saw God answer prayer in a most unexpected way:
"I went to have prayers with our orphanage children as I did every day, and any of the children wanted gathered around me for prayer time, and I'd give them different things to pray about. And this particular day, I told the children of this tiny baby and asked them to pray for the nurses that they would stay awake all night to keep that baby warm. If the baby got cold, it would die. I mentioned that the baby had a 2-year-old sister who was crying because her mommy had died. I mentioned the burst hot water bottle.
During prayer time, different children prayed for different things, and then one little 10-year-old girl, Ruth, she prayed in the usual blunt way of our African children, 'Please, God, send us a hot water bottle. Now, God, it'll be no good tomorrow. Send it this afternoon. Now, if it comes tomorrow, the baby will be dead.'
I'm sort of swallowing hard, and she said, 'While you're about it, God, would you send a dolly for the little 2-year-old sister, so she'll know that Jesus really loves her?'
And that afternoon, the parcel came. It was the first parcel I ever, I've been out there four years, I'd never had a parcel from home. And despite the fact I live on the equator, somebody packing that parcel had been prompted by God to put in a hot water bottle, and a child from my Bible class at home had put in a dolly for a little girl.
And it came that afternoon in answer to a 10 year-old child's prayer, and the amazing thing was, you know, that parcel had been on the way five months to get to us. It had left England in July, and it came that afternoon, cause a child prayed."

Appreciate the wait Stephen...
There isn’t one cause. America’s division is the result of several forces hitting at the same time, each pouring gasoline on the others. Here are the big ones:
1. Social media rewired the country
Platforms didn’t just connect people — they radicalized them.
Algorithms reward outrage, conflict, and extremism because that content keeps people glued to the screen.
So the loudest, angriest voices get the most visibility, while moderate voices disappear completely.
Result:
People now live in different information worlds. Not different opinions — different realities.
2. Political parties realized division is profitable
Both parties figured out that fear and anger raise more money, get more clicks, and turn out more voters than unity ever will.
So political messaging shifted from:
“Here’s what we stand for,”
to
“Your neighbor wants to destroy the country — donate now.”
When politics becomes a war instead of a debate, your fellow citizen starts looking like the enemy.
3. Collapse of trust in every major institution
Government, media, public health, corporations, banks, higher education — trust in all of them cratered over the last 20 years.
Why?
Scandals, corruption, hypocrisy, manipulation, and blatant incompetence — across the board.
When no one trusts the referee, the game becomes a brawl.
4. The media abandoned neutrality for tribal loyalty
Outlets don’t even pretend to be neutral anymore.
They’re audience-targeting businesses.
So news isn’t designed to inform you — it’s designed to affirm your worldview and keep you locked in.
This creates two Americas:
•One that believes one storyline
•One that believes the total opposite
And each thinks the other is insane.
5. Economic stress made people angrier and more reactive
Stagnant wages, insane housing prices, medical debt, cost-of-living spikes, corporate consolidation, and the destruction of the middle class created a pressure cooker.
People under financial strain are more irritable, less patient, and more prone to blaming “the other side.”
6. Cultural shifts happened faster than people could process
Everything — gender norms, family structures, technology, entertainment, values — changed at warp speed.
Some people embraced it.
Some people panicked.
Some people felt erased.
Some felt liberated.
Rapid cultural change always produces backlash. Always.
7. Foreign adversaries exploited every crack
Russia, China, Iran, and others pumped disinformation into American social platforms to widen racial, political, religious, and economic divides.
They don’t need to defeat the U.S. militarily if the U.S. tears itself apart internally.
8. People stopped talking to each other in real life
COVID isolation, remote work, online communities, political bubbles — all of it reduced face-to-face humanizing interaction.
It’s easy to hate a caricature online.
It’s harder when someone is sitting across from you.
9. Loss of a unifying narrative
From WWII to the Cold War to the space race, America used to have shared goals and shared enemies.
Now?
No common project. No shared mission.
Just a lot of grievance and competing identities.
When a nation stops having a “we,” everything becomes “us vs. them.”
Bottom line
America’s division isn’t random and it’s not accidental.
It’s the predictable result of:
technology + political incentives + financial pressure + collapsing institutions + cultural upheaval + foreign interference.
You fix the division by addressing those root causes — not by attacking each other.

@JillianMichaels @DonaldJTrumpJr @realDonaldTrump Gee Jillian, I wonder who caused all this division. I’ll wait for your response.

As usual, the fake news is delivering more fabricated, inflammatory, and derogatory reporting to discredit our incredible warriors fighting to protect the homeland.
As we’ve said from the beginning, and in every statement, these highly effective strikes are specifically intended to be “lethal, kinetic strikes.” The declared intent is to stop lethal drugs, destroy narco-boats, and kill the narco-terrorists who are poisoning the American people. Every trafficker we kill is affiliated with a Designated Terrorist Organization.
The Biden administration preferred the kid gloves approach, allowing millions of people — including dangerous cartels and unvetted Afghans — to flood our communities with drugs and violence. The Trump administration has sealed the border and gone on offense against narco-terrorists. Biden coddled terrorists, we kill them.
Our current operations in the Caribbean are lawful under both U.S. and international law, with all actions in compliance with the law of armed conflict—and approved by the best military and civilian lawyers, up and down the chain of command.
Our warriors in SOUTHCOM put their lives on the line every day to protect the Homeland from narco-terrorists — and I will ALWAYS have their back.

The shooting of two National Guardsmen by an Afghan national who shouldn’t even be in our country is a horrific new reminder of the anarchy unleashed upon America by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
If not for the election of President Trump, Kamala and the Democrats would have ushered in tens of millions more illegals into the country. The chaos and lawlessness would have spread to unimaginable levels.
Already in Blue cities, Democrat policies of zero bail, under-prosecution of felonies, and a revolving door at the jails have given repeat criminals license to prey on an innocent population. Depraved murderous attacks by repeat offenders, such as the horrors inflicted on poor Iryna Zarutska or Bethany MaGee or Logan Federico, are already too commonplace.
Only the election of President Donald Trump has given the country another chance. I give thanks for the miracle that saved his life from an assassin’s bullet. I am grateful for his courage, determination, and indefatigability in making America great again.
I am grateful for the extraordinary team that surrounds the President, starting with the Vice President JD Vance and the White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles. I appreciate all my colleagues at the White House, and consider it an honor to be a small part of this administration.
In politics, it’s easy to lose sight of the forest for the trees. Thanksgiving is a day to look up, take stock, and count our blessings.
We still have much to do but also much to be grateful for. Thank you to President Trump for working tirelessly on behalf of the American people.
Have a great Thanksgiving. God bless you, your families and the United States of America. 🇺🇸

@bennyjohnson America is in a soft civil war. And it’s all the left’s doing. Pray that wiser Americans can deescalate and stop what the left has begun.

America is under Attack from within. The greatest threats against our country are not coming from a foreign land, they’re coming from inside our own borders. Leftist extremist terrorism is now part of everyday life. It's killing our children at school, our generational political leaders on campus, shooting our presidential candidates in the head in broad daylight and viciously attacking our US Military, federal law enforcement and police.
This is an all-out war on law, order, and the safety of everyday Americans. The hysterical violent rhetoric spewed by the left and the media is being acted upon by Democrats across the country. It's only escalating.
When will enough be enough?
In just the past year:
- The seditious six Democrats claiming President Trump telling the military to not follow orders
- Jay Jones openly fantasizing about murdering Republicans and their children wins election in Virginia
- President Trump experiencing two assassination attempts
- Charlie Kirk assassinated on live TV, the left celebrated
- Attacks on ICE officers have skyrocketed over 1000%
- LA Riots and terror attacks
- Leftist sniper murders three at ICE facility in Texas
- Massive violent riots at ICE facility in Broadview, Illinois and Portland Oregon
- Annunciation Catholic Church children shot while praying by left wing Trump-hating transgender activist
- ABC News stations shot up
- Alina Habba attacked
- Ed Martin Attacked
- Rogue judges releasing career criminals back onto the streets, terrorizing Americans
Now an ambush attack on the National Guard protecting DC.
If we do not recognize the scale of this threat and take it seriously, we will lose everything. The time to destroy the leftist terrorism industry and ideology is now.

My heart is broken. Devastated beyond belief, not for Charlie, for he is with God. His race is finished, his faith kept, his crown received (2 Timothy 4:7–8).
I grieve for his family, for his wife, his children, and every person whose life he touched. They are the ones who feel this loss most deeply, and our prayers must cover them.
But even in our grief, we cannot despair. We cannot succumb to darkness. For Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die” (John 11:25). And again, “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:5).
So we must be the light. We must carry forward the truth Charlie lived for, the faith that gave him courage, and the hope that cannot die. As Paul wrote, “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:58).
Grieve, yes. Be heartbroken, yes. But do not despair. Stand firm. Be unafraid. And never surrender to the darkness.
