Testnets are usually discounted when comparing performance metrics of L1s with various justifications (many of which are valid). But ... If a testnet had provable properties of a mainnet (geo distro, decentralized, secure, etc) & ran for months at load would you accept comparisons against mainnets as legitimate?

That’s always been its value and is now handed out to any old schmendrick willing to give Musk money. Currently you can at least tell who was actually verified (versus paid).
