Some 20,000 people out opposing racism in Belfast, a magnificent response to the racist pogroms that blighted the city earlier this week. Together we can stop the far right!

Fantastic feeling seeing the Nazis who marched through the streets on Tuesday, beating up non-white people and who tried to march on Glasgow central mosque now surrounded by at least 5000 anti-racists. Glasgow is anti-fascist. Fuck off nazi scum.

At a time when domestic abuse and rape in Glasgow have surged dramatically, closing such a service and putting women’s lives at risk is nothing short of reckless. Join us outside the ScotGov office on Tues 14 July to demand the full retention of the women’s service at Murray’s.

Every time a politician blames migrants and refugees for problems created by our unjust economic system it fuels hatred. Every act of scapegoating adds to the cesspit of racism. It needs to stop. All our leaders must go beyond condemnation and stop emboldening the far-right.

Murray’s Women Service has been extended until October via the National Lottery fund. This is a temporary measure that goes nowhere near far enough. We will continue to challenge the Scottish Government until there’s full retention of the service. Updates to follow.
