I hope FPL give us some real decisions to make with pricing this season. If any player is selected by over 50% of managers before GW1, they have failed in that. If that means £8.0m for Gabriel or £12.5m for Bruno, so be it!

Yamal is having a decent World Cup, he's not standing out because most of the time he's double or triple marked.

@GameweekGuru I would only start Palmer potentially if the pricing is sub-10m. We need info from Xabi A on what he wants from this group. So much change for Palmer since he joined.

Conditional on any price and rule changes FPL announce, I quite like the idea of starting with Bruno, Palmer and Szoboszlai. With Salah off, that could give me 3 penalty and set piece takers from the off. Palmer will likely drop in price and Szobo shouldn’t increase too much. I also don’t expect Thiago to go under the radar again in GW1 this season. Maybe it’s a case of going without Haaland until GW3 vs Coventry!

@FPL_TomHadley Very interested in the pricing of some of the underperformers last season as it relates to an already thin premium group. Isak, Palmer, and Saka tier in relation to Haaland-Bruno. Foden/Cherki will be very enticing, depending on how Enzo sees them, as mid priced options.

I’m definitely ready for FPL to be back now 😆 I’m also very interested to see how high they price defenders this season (assuming and hoping DEFCON remains). Wonder if we’ll see Senesi as high as £6m for example. Gabriel surely has to be at least £7.5m

@dharnishiqbal There is a book called Senda de Campeones (Path of Champions) that explains how La Masia works and is written by the same author who wrote the Pep books, Marti Perarnau. Xavi and Tito Vilanova are the two big sources for the book. It is the footy X-Men School for the Gifted.

What the hell do they do at that academy genuinely? There is too much talk on here about how brilliant some English club academies are, none of them come anywhere close to La Masia. It’s literally an academy that can bail an elite club with bad finances out

@FPLtfs The latest the game launches in tournament summers is July 23-24. I think we could be in line for launch by the end of next week. It definitely won't be long after if it goes past the 24th.

What should you look out for during the summer to get ready for the new #FPL season?

Pep Guardiola has famously stated that he favors the team with Lionel Messi. Truly sage.

@FPL__Raptor He is a great signing in a position that is very tricky to get right just because there aren't many who can do it at a world class level. Tielemans is one of the best in his role.

I am genuinely loving the talk around Tielemans. He’s “old” at 29, he doesn’t have the legs (Casemiro and Mainoo worked perfectly well) etc etc. But the best one is that he isn’t good off the ball. He has been defensively excellent, much better than people realise. He can read the game very well which is more important than raw speed. Think he’s an unreal signing. My only small concern is the niggles he was starting to pick up next season. Need to manage his minutes and hope he stays fit. If he does, I love it.

@liverpxxl9 @_ToddBeane La Masia method teaches talents how to master time and space on the pitch through patterns of play. English model, generalizing, teaches talent how to apply itself via graft/hard work with not as much focus on geometry and patterns.

@AnabellaMarvy Club needs to find a cheaper alternative. Despite the contract situation, City are not just letting him walk and wages will be very high. Fabian and Zubimendi are better options for Barça to look at, even though I don't see Arteta giving up on Zubi already.
