This pretty much sums up why I quit SVWB and the entire Cygames 'ecosystem' in spite of having enough vials to do whatever I wanted. Do I have to spend money to play? No. Is it annoying the company keeps making choices to try and nickel and dime players for every penny? Yes.

@Drakorion_DK It's a complicated issue bc I think 3 things can be true: - SVWB is 100% playable F2P - It's still reasonable to be upset about the aggressive monetization - I wish the people who were upset had that same energy for other games that are worsening the industry

@SV_Hibiki The biggest problem with Take 2 is unironically its price. In SV1 it was a good format for beginners to buy into because you could actually learn, tickets were plentiful, and you get packs on discount. In SV2 for some reason it became the sweaty, expensive format only pros play.

Take 2 is a horrendous format and
1.) should not have been released until full rotation (4 sets) were established
2.) should nof randomly give you cards of any rarity on reroll
Oh you rerolled twice into 4 silvers? Ggs then good luck playing against ppl with 2x ur legendaries

First 7-0 in Take 2. Sword is strong but is currently severely overdrafted. Haven is stronger than I gave it credit if you can curve. Forest and Dragon are solid and Rune is either high-roll or pure dogshit. Abyss is way worse than I thought. Portal likely best class.

I can't WAIT to see how the fuck Take 2 on release. My guess is 2000 Rupee buy in with the max rewards for 5-0 being 1 pack and 100 whole rupees. THANK YOU CYGAMES NEXTO

Worlds Beyond kept all the bad things about Shadowverse 1 (Dailies resetting in 21 hours, dogshit chest events), dressed it up in a nice new UI and said 'Fuck you, pay me'. 10 years of good will since open beta for SV1 pissed away in under a month. Love the new Cygames.

I want to like Worlds: Beyond so much but every single design decision seems like it's been made to fuck F2P players as hard as possible. Really disappointing after the long wait; no matter how good the game is, if it fucks up its monetization, it's DoA.

@denpafish Grats on the Jolteon SAR too! KR cards aren't worth as much as EN/JP on the market but if you only care about the art and not the resale value, it's the cheapest way to get cards.

@AtramentumX Streamers are totally allowed to express anxiety over low or declining numbers. That was never the issue with that post. "5 people aren't going to pay rent for me. 5 people won't give me money for groceries" is an absolutely insane take and comes off entitled as fuck.

I think streamers, whether they are doing this for financial stability or as a hobby, should be allowed to express anxiety or frustration over declining numbers or the financial insecurity of content creation without being jumped by the entirety of vtuber Twitter, by the way. 🤨

The most insane take. In a job climate where remote work and online work is more common than ever, too. If you can stream for hours at a time, get over yourself and get a fucking job.

VTubers and streamers, I know it is meant to be encouraging, but I keep seeing posts reminding people that 5 viewers is a lot - it's a full room! And they usually come from MUCH bigger streamers. But.. 5 people aren't going to pay rent for me. 5 people won't give me money for groceries. The encouragement is nice but I feel like it comes from a place of ignorance or even arrogance. For people trying to survive in today's economy, knowing "5 people is a full room" isn't going to make a difference. We might feel good.. but how much will that actually reflect on our lives? Just a reminder. Sometimes these encouraging posts read more as toxic positivity than useful advice.
