I have been watching a LOT of MTG content recently because their creator space is really amazing and has given me so much inspiration already Side effect: I am way too tuned in to this game I don't even play Maybe I boot up an Arena stream soon...

@ignideus I agree with nerfing sandalphon, but I'm ok with hitting sathanid anyway because this evo slop needs to go

Bibatii died for no reason because they nerfed the problem card (Milteo & Luzen) shortly after anyways - just because people online complained about Abyss Sathanid died for Sandalphon's sins because he cannot be nerfed (John Granblue) We gotta stop balancing the game like this

SVO 2026 AMEU: Season 2 Preliminary 1 6-0: Mode Abyss 6-0 Lishenna Portal 6-0 This Mode list is perhaps the most defensive deck I've ever played and I love it. The Egg list on the other hand can go surprisingly aggro with a good early game hand into Axia SEvo and storms.

@ignideus I legit found Milteo to be stronger with triple Castle and no Bibatii, all that nerf did was weaken other, less common archetypes (and randomly shoot 3-Shakdoh for no reason) Kneejerk nerfs without a better understanding of each archetype don't accomplish anything

Please normalize just saying you don't like a deck You don't have to couch it in language that makes your opinion look like an objective fact that needs to be corrected by the devs You can just be a hater and that's fine

@Zaneric_Mic i understand where you're coming from but dawg that's what a metagame is right like you can describe any deck in relation to the other decks in the meta this way dragon does not have the numbers to be considered an outlier

@ignideus crsytal is good into dragon while egg punish deck that punish dragon, the meta is entirely warped around dragon example of pawn aggro

@Zaneric_Mic just some evidence that this isn't a backpedal, i think dragon is strong enough i just think people are incredibly not normal about it

@Zaneric_Mic i want to be clear i dont think dragon is bad! i think its good! but ppl talk about it like its the boogeyman and that decks cant exist that arent dragon or hyper aggro which i feel like just isnt true look at the success of crystal or egg por ejemplo

@BrentonK14958 Althenia is a stupid card too I agree This is why I have been loving pauper recently lol No alth, no cesar, no erntz Just normal guy cards!

@ignideus If anything Sathanid died for Althenia's sins because that's the card that kills you and if you actually manage to clear Sathanid just made sure you could never get on the board again, which is when you become open to Sandy

@HappyKuroo Idk most my evo games sathanid doesnt even go live ngl I think it just extended sandal reach which is a big feels bad but only in relation to sandal being sandal

@ignideus Yeah first point is valid, but id rather not have sathanid crest ping me AND do aoe board damage per evo so i feel that nerf was good in a way even if the bigger issue really is sandalphon
