Remember the launch of the 2026 Skibbereen Historical Journal will take place this Friday, 10th July, at 7:30 pm in Abbeystrewery Hall, Skibbereen (P81 XT53). All are welcome to attend and copies of the new Journal will be on sale on the night.

The formal launch of the 2026 Skibbereen Historical Journal will take place in Abbeystrewery Hall, Skibbereen (P81 XT53) on Friday 10 July at 7:30 pm. It will be launched by Finola Finlay of the Roaringwater Journal blog. All are welcome and copies will be on sale on the night.

Drombeg stone circle was shrouded in mist for our visit, but that only made it all the more special. Thank you to Dr Angela Fahy for sharing her knowledge and insights about the site and to the large and attentive crowd that attended, despite the wet conditions.

Our first summer outing of 2026 is on Tuesday 16 June to Glandore Stone Circle with Dr Angela Fahy. Assemble at Glandore Church (P81 FW90) at 6:30pm. Note for insurance reasons our outings are only open to members - but you may join at the event.
