First MTG post! I’ve qualified for my first PT! Wheels fell off on day 2 after a 9-0 start to finish 11-4, good for 30th at RC Cinci playing my version of Prowess Lessons. Lots of theory crafting smashed green and felt good but the deck still needs tweaks. @fireshoes for reach

tldr: I think we need to introduce commander brackets to standard/competitive magic. We could be saying fun things like "wow badgermole is op and should be a game changer 😤" and "ugh stormchaser's is c(edh)standard, this is a bracket 2 precon table 😡" (this is a joke)

I think the nuance here is that everyone seems to have a different idea of what Standard should look like based on what they value or enjoy, especially with how much Standard has evolved and how the speed/power has changed. Mix that in with how people interact with the game (1/4)

look like. I don't at all envy the people working on the team that is in charge of changes to try to make all these people happy. I think (non-toxic) negativity is ok and you're allowed to be disappointed in the changes, but it's a little sad to see borderline hostility (3/4)

seeing content creators complain that there were no bans in standard every b&r is a reminder that most content creators are not good at magic. it’s completely unreasonable to think this month’s metagame information conveys a format needing bans, +the gameplay is great
