Lee Hanson statement about her mum. As her daughter, I have seen first hand what Senator Hanson (aka mum) has been through. Ridiculed, knocked down, branded a racist, bigot, lies told, hatred spread, court case after court case, imprisoned, and pretty much nearly broken into a million pieces time and time again. There have been many times where I wondered myself if she could or should keep going. How could any person possibly endure so much. Particularly when it is someone you love and care about, you only want them to be happy and safe. Instead, I watched and admired her strength, tenacity, courage, resilience, spirit and fight only grow over the years. I am so proud and honoured to have her as my mother. She had taught me more than I could ever imagine or hope for. To be strong and resilient just like her. To never give up in what you believe. But most importantly, to do what is right and stand up for others who need help and support. What many do not see or know of mum, and certainly not what the media will show, is that she is a very caring, kind and generous person, and with a good sense of humour too. She always takes the time to listen. She doesn't see anyone on a pedestal above others, and has never and will never put herself there. She treats all with the same level of kindness and thoughtfulness we all deserve. The amount of charity work she has supported over the years, donations of her time and money to help others. It's just her nature. What keeps her going through it all and motivates her each day to keep going, is knowing she is helping others. When she has been able to achieve results or help someone who has exhausted every option and ended up on her door, at their wits end or lost of all hope. She is always there. She will do everything in her ability to get the support, help or answers they need where others simply ignore because it's too hard or they don't have time. She makes the time. These stories are endless. Pauline and One Nation is fighting for you, so thank you for fighting for and standing by her and One Nation! Thank you🙏 Lee Hanson
