Completely agree. It would’ve been way more nasty. I mean, don’t get me wrong. I can watch Silent Rage pretty much anytime. How I rank it? I’m not sure. I actually thought of ranking Norris’ movies sometime last year. I think I’m going to do it. My problem is, is ranking movies is so difficult for me. It drives me nuts. @jdiggs67 and @SlasherTrash can attest to this.😭 Like, I love Firewalker. I really enjoy Hellbound. Delta Force 2 is pretty good. Hero and the Terror is cool. It’s so hard to rank these.

🛸 The Howling franchise is a great movie and about a half dozen other movies about werewolves where only one is a sequel to the original, one makes those werewolves Australian marsupials, and one wants to be Twilight so badly. …I kinda love the shitshow.

It truly is. It’s what drives my watches these days. Like you, I always fall back on the oldies. They’ll be with me forever. Even with new movies, if it reminds me of something past, I’ll watch it. I’m a child of the 80’s. Nostalgia flows in these veins. Nostalgia beckons me.

@SaucySeventies I finally managed to find a copy of this last year, and I enjoyed the movie, but I imagine seeing it in 3D must have been quite the experience.

@Batrachian393 @chucknorris If you replaced that never ending montage of Chuck and his girl, and cut out the ‘comedy’ with the fat deputy, and replaced them with some more crazy killer carnage, I think it might just move Silent Rage nearer to top tier Chuck territory.

Indeed. I’ve always loved it since I was really young. Scared me back in the day, actually. They sure could have went way more crazy with an idea like that. Would’ve been pretty easy to do. It almost reminds me of Halloween 2 (1981). The director had felt that it wasn’t Norris’ wheelhouse. That he felt like Norris maybe didn’t like it. There was a sequel that the director wanted to do, but he said that after the screening he never saw Norris again.

I wanted to like Reborn. I really did. I was excited to check it out after many years. Unfortunately I just couldn’t get into it. I could move it one spot in front of Marsupials, but that’s prolly it. I enjoyed the two leads. Especially Lindsey Shaw. I know her from Pretty Little Liars. Not that the Howling franchise is known for its great effects (except for the original), but the CGI took me out of the movie kinda. I didn’t really care for any of the characters except the two leads. It’s not too bloody, and the werewolves are only really seen at the end. I do like the meaning behind the movie, though. Its idea for the male lead especially. I’m gonna give it another try at some point.

@SkinTrader2 @Planet_Hex_on_X @pizowell The Howling movies were huge for me growing up. I was (and still am) a massive fan of monsters, especially werewolves. I was obsessed with them.😭😭 I’d rewatch Howling 1-6 whenever I could. Video store rentals, on TV. I have a soft spot for them.

@SkinTrader2 One of my favorite @chucknorris movies. Although I’m sure I told you this already.😂😭 Pretty close to a Norris horror movie. Very fun to watch. Hard to watch his movies now tbh.

Okay. So what I did is I went back and watched the Howling movies that had been a long time since the last watch. This would be The Marsupials, The Freaks, and Reborn. I use to watch parts 3 and 6 quite a bit when I was young, though. My ranking now: – The Howling – Howling 2 – Howling 5 – Howling 4 – Howling 7 – Howling 6 – Howling 3 – Howling Reborn Howling 6: The Freaks is pretty good. It’s actually a meaningful movie. Pretty layered imo. It kind of reminded me of Tobe Hooper’s ‘The Funhouse’.
