Two wee questions struck me about David Bull's sudden departure from Reform UK's top team. Firstly, I have to assume that all of those right-wing trolls who berated Carla Denyer for taking a break due to burnout, are applying the same rigorous slatings to Bull. Right? RIGHT?🤦‍♂️ Secondly, who's stepping down in Suffolk for Bull to be elected in their place? To the best of my knowledge, there is no vacancy in Suffolk. There are eight MPs, and I don't think any of them are ready to call a by-election any time soon. Is David Bull channelling the ghost of Derek Acorah to predict political outcomes?

Reform-led Durham council cut off funding to the annual Pride celebrations. So trade unions launched a fundraiser to save it, eventually raising more money than was cut. Which means this year's Pride will be bigger than ever. In the 1980s, the LGBT+ community raised thousands of pounds to help striking miners and their families. When we stick up for each other, we can achieve anything.

We joined the EEC in 1973 from a position of weakness and it was the right strategic choice. Delaying action on Single Market access only deepens the Brexit drag. Waiting for some mythical future strength is a recipe for permanent decline. We need a leader prepared to face reality on Europe, not more Blairite denial dragging us towards USA vassalage.

I have so much admiration for Keir Starmer in the face of such continued onslaught by the media. Rejoining the EU will deliver what Brexit failed to deliver Life in Britain will improve as trade is freed up, food will become cheaper and more varied again. More opportunities for Brits to travel, work study across the EU - and our pets too will get their passports back.
