@StevenStubble @sarahsalviander Gee, liar, why are leaving out the other stuff? The stuff I refuted you on. You are now trying to rewrite history, showing yourself unworthy of my time, since you are incapable of having an adult discussion. Later, loser.

@SkippyTheFDPP @sarahsalviander sorry, not sure where i said anything about who's wrong or right. I was just characterizing the basic atheist approach of intellectially shovelling everything back into the ethereal "We dont know" regions when it comes to the origins of the universe.

Nope. Believing that evolution got the universe from the point of origin (big bang) to the multitude of complex biological systems has been found to be lacking in many ways. You need to update your knowledge beyond what you are stating as fact here. Evolution => Not planned Not planned => Random In this case it’s a series of unplanned events that have more of a positive influence on progress than negative. This works well enough once the living organism is already in existence (like your argument re Shakespeare) but fails miserably when it comes to bringing that complex organism into existence in the first place. Mostly it fails on lack of programmatic information which living organisms possess.

@Dav1536 @Your_Wrongest @sarahsalviander No, it wasn't. Jesus is never mentioned in the old testament (Jewish scriptures). Not even once. NT authors already knew the Jewish scriptures, so when they made up their stories for the NT, then wrote in "fulfillments".

@Your_Wrongest @SkippyTheFDPP @sarahsalviander Jesus birth, life and death was predicted 700 years before. The virgin birth, place of birth, perfect life, miracles, betrayal, death, resurrection and his divinity. All this was proclaimed in Jerusalem where he was slain to those very people by fisherman who were once fearful.

@Nydon @Allan_not_Allen @sarahsalviander It's more rational to accept that a complex biological system arose via evolution (which is not chance, educate yourself) than to accept that an invisible, immortal, eternal, all-powerful being (for which there is no valid, objective, positive evidence it even exists) went POOF!

@Nydon @Allan_not_Allen @sarahsalviander Then there's no point trying to have an adult discussion with you, is there? I'm sorry you think Shakespeare either created the first life on earth, or is invisible, immortal, eternal, all-powerful (god): the only ways your analogy would be relevant to our discussion.

@ThoughtfulCafe @jisaac1269_jay @vadabac340 @sarahsalviander You said we should believe only what IS true. Not what we personally believe to be true, but what IS true. You say you believe your god exists. So you must be able to show that it IS true that your god exists, not just that you believe it. So go ahead, prove your god exists.

@ThoughtfulCafe @jisaac1269_jay @vadabac340 @sarahsalviander To "Thoughtful Confections & Café", the only person wasting your time, is you. I didn't make you post more than a dozen replies today. You aren't in control of your own actions? I'm sorry you lost. Probably a good thing you ran away like a chicken.

@ThoughtfulCafe @jisaac1269_jay @vadabac340 @sarahsalviander Jesus is alive, right? So didn't give his life for anyone. Jesus didn't sacrifice, he got a promotion. Millions of people suffered more in real life than Jesus did in the story book. If Jesus "died" for all, only 1/8 billionth of his suffering was for you. Less than an itch

@ThoughtfulCafe @wendelltalks @sarahsalviander To "Thoughtful Confections & Café", oh you poor uneducated fool. Some of the epistles in the NT are forgeries, and the book of "Daniel" is one long lie, written hundreds of years later than the authors pretend, to trick readers into wrongly believing "Daniel" told the future

@ThoughtfulCafe @wendelltalks @sarahsalviander Yeah, I could go on and on. A god whose book did not contradict itself in places, wasn't scientifically refuted in places, contained no forgeries (some epistles) or lies (book of "Daniel", etc. Such a god would be a greater being than the god of the bible.

@StevenStubble @sarahsalviander By they way, you are admitting you were wrong and I was right, but you aren't adult enough to just come out and say it. You are trying to act like you were right, when you weren't.

@SkippyTheFDPP @sarahsalviander sure, yet these are just variations on the same theme. Quantum fluctuations -- where did THEY come from? "We dont know" Eternal matter / multiverse? How might we conclusively demonstrate this? "We dont know" Something we dont yet understand? "Well its NOT God!" you get the idea

@StevenStubble @sarahsalviander Gravity turned out not to be god. Evolution turned out not to be god. Human embryonic development, planets in orbit, etc. turned out not to be god. The thousands of gaps in human understanding that we figured out how they happen were all found to be due to natural processes.
