@MrsCMFrancis @DowagerDuchessD Make sure if you try something like this to do a test patch on your inner elbow or something. If you end up being allergic or sensitive to something in the product it's better to find out from a test patch than to end up with a reaction all over your scalp.

I’m at the point where I simply want to cry about this. I’m using the toxic tar shampoo, taking expensive pro-biotics, drinking homemade bone broth on an empty stomach, putting hydrocortisone cream on it….and still it’s there. All the time. What am I supposed to do???

@NiohBerg Most people with rich parents spend their youth doing drugs and drinking until they pass out, but god forbid 1 of them try to actually help someone.

Privilege is having rich parents who set you up for life so that you can spend your entire youth doing useless activism while never worrying about having a real job.

For spring break my 16 year old is camping in the mountains with his friends. Some of the family are acting like I basically fed him to a bear. Fellow parents, would you let your generally very responsible and capable kid camp without adults?

@SkullyRaeC @Madame_Ennui Actually there is; that's what being on standby means. The company has no profit motive to just throw away product. The PR alone would be good for them. It's the distrust in legal protection by their lawyers and the insurers who put their foot down on this stuff.

I’ve always believed the US’s bizarre restrictions on food donations and the subsequent mass-scale food waste are bc Americans don’t have a deep-rooted internalized anguish at the thought of food waste, bc the US has never collectively gone through a devastating famine

@0zarkian @Madame_Ennui There isn't an army of lawyers on standby for every time there is a massive amount of donuts at the end of the night. The employees just aren't trained for this and aren't paid to research nearby homeless shelters and food banks and follow through with donations.

@0zarkian @Madame_Ennui Idk why any company would be scared of that considering they're legally protected from punishment unless they donate food that they know is dangerous. I can't find a single case of a company facing legal action due to a food donation that someone claimed was bad.

@Madame_Ennui It seems to me to actually be the fault of strategic lawfare. I don't know people who just throw away food on a whim. If you're talking dumpsters full of donuts, companies are scared of getting the shit sued out of them by accidentally donating perceived bad food.

@Madame_Ennui There are no restrictions on food donations other than you can't knowingly donate food that could give people food poisoning.

Name 5 - 10 books from this year that would interest me in the same way my favourite novelists do. These include Stanislaw Lem, Arthur C. Clarke, Lovecraft, R. E. Howard, Pratchett, Bradbury.
