DO NOT FORGET!! Randy was coerced into cutting the barrel by government agents. This is called entrapment. People consistently miss this point when discussing Ruby Ridge and it irritates me. You need to realize, if the government can’t find a reason to kill you they will certainly manufacture a reason.

@lurkerwaves @skitten_hund Why would you have questioned it at the time? In the early stages all you got was what they wanted to feed you. Any alternative info was scarce and slow to come out. I felt we weren’t getting a straight story and when Lt Col Gritz showed up on scene that sealed it for me.

The whole incident is full of this kind of government brutality, overreach and flat out evil. After Weavers initial arrest the paperwork he was given had the INCORRECT trial date. As such, he did not appear in court and a bench warrant created. They surveilled him and his family for a year. If you know his military history you know that he knew they were there most of the time. They were begging for forceful contact. And per classic fedgov agency playbook they started it off killing the dog.

@SkylineGuardian It's alleged that the barrel wasn't even cut below the legal length, and that it was cut down further after the incident, meaning they murdered his family and attempted to murder him over a crime they literally made up.

I appreciate you playing the devil's advocate in this, really. It adds to the point that needs to be realized by everyone. Bait is made to be enticing. Bait is maid to look like something it is not. Fed agencies have tons of people who are masters at baiting the proverbial hook and it should not be that way. I don't have enough hubris to think I am impervious to bait....eventually.

Man how UVU has fallen. I earned 2 degrees there. Commencement speakers? 1. Gordon B Hinckley 2. Larry King Both were entertaining. Both spoke of religion and of God’s role in their life. Both spoke of struggle and triumph. They spoke about LIFE without putting anyone or their beliefs down. Neither was “controversial” or political in their remarks. However, you or anyone else in a court cannot answer the question, “Would a crime have been committed without the government or its paid agents intervening?” If you’ve even been approached by what you suspect is a “fed” (usually a paid informant not a true agent) you’ll see it NEVER starts as, “do this illegal thing”

@SkylineGuardian I think this laws are unconstitutional and should be removed. However, you could ask me a million times to break the law and I'd still say no. I don't see how this is coercion by any stretch.

ATF paid informant Fadeley repeatedly requested the shotguns. He paid Randy for the shotguns. Would Randy have committed this “felony” if Fadeley didn’t exist? There is something EVIL and WRONG with a government that pushes or creates a path for you to break a law. Understand how this affects you.

@SkylineGuardian Even worse, the paperwork the court gave him and what was on file listed different dates for when he was to return to the court. The paperwork listed a later date than what the court had on file. When he didn't appear on the date he didn't know about ... you know the rest.
