After a few weeks of hard work, I hit the 1% goal. Having no competitive Counter Strike experience and playing mostly against Global/A tier players in my games, I'm extremely happy with this milestone! And it was super fun and engaging. Guess it's back to Youtube for Valorant

If I can climb to ~top 1% when ranked comes out in Valorant (aka if I'm actually good enough to be worth teaching anything) I'll make Valorant content. For me, this is the first new competitive game worth taking seriously since Overwatch, finally!

@Skyline_OW Ooo I was actually seeing if you made a video or tweet about Valorant just yesterday! Can we expect any Valorant content from you? I think you'd be great for this game. 😃

Valorant is a good game. I haven't been this impressed with a design team in quite a while 👍

move on. The more people feed the fire of this "argument" the more they achieve the goals of the people they are trying to speak out against. I guarantee you there is literally a person in Washngt. right now searching google, Twitter, etc like "Yes! I knew this would get em going

No, violent video games are not substantially correlated with violent crime (especially something as hyper-specific as mass shootings.) This has been discussed and documented since 10+ years ago. Some politicians have recently brought this issue up again as part of literal troll

Players attacking talent, fans, and anybody who has anything remotely positive to say about the addition of Sanhok is pretty gross. I don't necessarily agree with the way it's been handled, but shouting down people being upbeat/hopeful because you're mad is wrong.

Why am I basically paying with my time, the most important currency to me, to subsidise reddit, who create no content of their own and yet explicitly rely on it to have a business at all?

@AskJoshy Adsense is pretty meh. It will give you a couple bonus bucks but it makes up only a tiny portion of most full-time content creator's revenue. $0.31 is very low, however. Average is more like $1.00. Pure gameplay videos are in the absolute lowest ad bracket which could be a factor

Just did some financials for July and realized that since March 1, I've gotten 235,481 views on YT! Which looks great, but the CPM was $0.31. Am I doing it wrong? Is it this low for everyone?

At the end of the day, despite my conclusion being finally negative, it was really 60-40 odds at best. I think you can give a perfectly reasoned argument as to the benefits and negatives of role queue and be equally maybe-right. Anyway stay positive and carry one 👍

I was a bit nervous making a video that was anything other than exclusively praising the second of the savior 2-2-2, and for good reason because it took a lot of heat; but it was good heat, like hot wings sort of heat where people discussed and gave their (valid) opinions.
