This is pretty incredible. This Cybertruck on @Tesla FSD (Supervised) v14.2.2.5 reversed by itself at an intersection to create space after a semi truck took a very wide turn. Sentience.

@brandon_collup @Civixplorer I just took delivery of a AWD Model 3 yesterday as well. Transferred my FSD from my 2018 to this new one. What a night and day improvement the new car is as well as the version of FSD. Been using FSD all weekend to drive me around. Amazing.

I just got a Tesla Model 3 with Full Self Driving. Was never a Tesla or EV fan, but the FSD is absolutely amazing. The quality of life improvement that comes along with not touching the steering wheel or pedals for the entirety of the trip is immeasurable. Not to mention the incredible safety improvement and insurance savings. Why someone would buy a car that doesn't't drive itself when that capability is available is beyond me.

@candlestruck @Jeriantheman @SawyerMerritt They will come from China, with the lower tariff. We should see Models under $50K which will make them eligible for the new $5K federal incentive. So a Tesla that can drive itself for C$45K. That is ~ $33K US.

@farzyness I just bought a new Tesla so that I can transfer the FSD from my 2018 Model 3. To be honest, felt bullied into making this move, even though I wanted to wait longer until a better time to do so

Tesla unfortunately screwed the pooch on this one. I understand why from a business perspective, but the execution will leave a bad taste in the mouth of loyal (and new) customers. Learning lesson.

NEWS: Tesla has started to inform customers in the U.S. that free FSD transfer will end on March 31, 2026. Tesla has previously said free FSD transfers would end “that quarter,” but this is the first time in many quarters they’ve communicated a specific end date. Time will tell if this is truly the final quarter. There are only 28 days left to buy FSD outright. After that, Tesla will make it subscription-only.

I can't help but think that Elon's comp plan isn't ambitious enough to warrant a total sum of ~12% additional control of Tesla. The reason why I suggest it isn't is because Elon himself said many times before the package was even proposed that the best projection of Tesla's stock trajectory was Ark invest's model which is what I keep in mind when I write this. Ark's model projected that we would be at $2,700 per share by 2027 which then moved to 2029 or a 8.9 trillion market cap without Optimus factored in which is what the last tranche of the pay package achieves. Elon had threatened to not build Optimus within Tesla if he doesn't get control, but it already seems that we are going to 8.5T regardless given Robotaxi's progress using Ark's model. I understand there is a premium associated with Elon and this isn't meant to be a dig at Elon. Maybe it's wishful thinking but I just happen to think that robotaxi progress would have taken us to majority of the milestones without Optimus. So with this in mind shouldn't the tranches be MUCH further out beyond the 8.5T if this was about retaining Elon to build out Optimus and AI within Tesla? That being said I voted with the board recommendations.
