My timeline is flooded with talk about the New York incident. What is truly embarrassing to watch is people throwing away all logic to blindly defend disgraceful behavior under the guise of religion. Let me make this very clear: I am a Muslim, and I am proudly American by choice. This country gave me and my family freedom, dignity, safety, opportunity, and respect. I will never stand behind behavior that contradicts the values that made me love this country in the first place. I do not support intimidation, public harassment, forced morality, or chaos disguised as “religious expression.” Nobody has the right to impose themselves on others under any excuse. People are free to believe and live however they want, as long as they do not harm others. That is called civilization. Generalization is the language of the ignorant. Blindly defending disgraceful behavior simply because it comes from "your side" is not loyalty - it is intellectual weakness. As for disrespect, mockery, and hate: anyone bringing that energy will be blocked immediately. Respect is the standard here. Not a suggestion.
