🆘🆘 JASPER (ID 248819), 6 YO, MALE – IN QUEENS ACC - came into the shelter as an aco - owner surrender on 3/3/2026, with the surrender reason stated as person health - medical. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 4/4/26 ➡️ NEW HOPE PARTNER RESCUE ONLY ➡️ 🆘🆘 1ST Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 31 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ JASPER IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - He is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Jasper is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. He has tried to swat and is extremely fearful in the shelter environment. Jasper does not currently tolerate petting or handling. 💔😿💔😿 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke @mehser12 💔😿🙏Thank you

🆘🆘 SPAGHETTI (ID 247935), 4 YO, MALE – IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as a stray on 2/19/2026. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 4/7/26 ➡️ NEW HOPE PARTNER RESCUE ONLY ➡️ 🆘🆘 1ST Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 46 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ SPAGHETTI IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - He is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 A volunteer writes: When Spaghetti arrived at the Care Center, he came out of his carrier and allowed all handling by our staff. After moving into one of the cat adoption rooms, he seemed to close himself off--tolerating cheek and head scratches from humans but otherwise not showing the same interest he did on his first day. We see many cats like Spaghetti, who become quiet and unsure as they try to acclimate to a strange new environment. We love this tabby boy, who seems to have been well cared for in his previous life. And we want the best for him, which would mean a special adopter who takes a go-slow approach to making Spaghetti feel safe, secure, and cherished. Want to lend a helping hand to a good cat who could use it right now? Spaghetti is waiting to meet you on 110th Street today. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke @mehser12 💔😿🙏Thank you

🆘🆘 TAQUITO CHIQUITO (ID 248595), 1 YO, FEMALE– IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as a stray on 2/28/2026 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 4/4/26 ➡️ JUST A BABY – BEGINNING LIFE ➡️ 🆘🆘 1ST Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 34 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ TAQUITO CHIQUITO IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - She is not thriving in the care center and continues to display challenging behavior during interactions. She is extremely intelligent and high energy and needs to expend energy constructively with interactive play sessions 3-4X/day. In addition to playtime, this cat would also benefit from mental exercise from activities such as puzzle toys/games, lick mats, or clicker training. Without providing activity for his/her mind and body, the cat may react with rough play, potentially resulting in bite/scratch incidents. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 A volunteer writes: I visited Taquito again today and found her absolutely charming. She grabbed and swatted, but did so gently and playfully, no claws in sight. She spent a good deal of time rolling on her back and striking poses that seemed to invite tummy rubs, all the while chirping in a pretty hard-to-resist fashion. Taquito today was every bit the adorable one-year-old looking for a playmate who'll love her. Taquito Chiquito tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke 💔😿🙏Thank you

He needs more care outside the shelter environment where he can heal and recover. Batman has allowed all handling and has been head bunting during his treatments. Batman needs more care than is possible in a shelter setting. 🆘🆘TIME IS RUNNING OUT FOR THE OVERLOOKED AND IGNORED AS SHELTER IS AT MAX CAPACITY🆘🆘 - ALL VERY LOW ON PLEDGES & AT HIGHEST RISK FOR EU/SILENT KILL😱 😟😟😟 PLEDGES WILL HELP STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST FOR ALL🆘🆘🆘 NOW IS THE TIME TO ACT FOR THESE LITTLE ONES-🥹🥹🙏🙏 PLEASE SHARE AND PLEDGE IF YOU CAN- CONTACT RESCUES/FOSTERS/ADOPTERS. @AdamsPaulGrimke @mehser12 Thank you

🆘🆘 TRU FU (ID 248443), 7 YO, MALE – IN QUEENS ACC - came into the shelter as an agency on 2/26/2026. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 4/11/26 ➡️ NEW HOPE PARTNER RESCUE ONLY ➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST ➡️ 🆘🆘 3RD Chance on Emergency Placement List – NO ROOM IN SHELTER – WILL NOT BE GIVEN MUCH MORE TIME – VERY HIGH EU/SILENT KILL RISK– 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 43 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ TRU FU IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - He is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥 A volunteer writes: Tru Fu's favorite toys and games, his preferred treats and places to nap are some of the missing puzzle pieces in our work to make the shelter more comfortable for him. It's been a bit of a guessing game so I went to ask Tru Fu and he swiftly said no to all when I did. Tru Fu was left on his own for quite some time after his guardian passed away. Brought here by police, his rocky beginnings seem to have only been exacerbated by the constant hum at the shelter. Sometimes we have to sit with our feelings as we go through whatever it is we are, so I didn't take it any particular way when Tru Fu told me no but rather I tried to put myself in his paws. Except I don't think even Tru Fu wants to be in his paws right now. I think somewhere in his kitty heart he wants someone to ask him about his favorite treats, toys, and places to nap though, but I think what Tru Fu wants most of all is for someone to really listen to his answers. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke @mehser12 💔😿🙏Thank you

🆘🆘BATMAN (ID 250245), 3 YO, MALE – IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 3/22/2026, with the surrender reason stated as animal behavior - not good with resident animals. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 4/11/26 ➡️ MEDICAL PRIORITY – NEEDS MORE CARE AND ATTENTION THAN THE SHELTER CAN PROVIDE ➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST ➡️ 🆘🆘 3RD Chance on Emergency Placement List – NO ROOM IN SHELTER – WILL NOT BE GIVEN MUCH MORE TIME – VERY HIGH EU/SILENT KILL RISK– 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 19 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ BATMAN IS ON THE EPL FOR MEDICAL REASONS -He has developed a severe URI, conjunctivitis, and has become anorexic. We have been implementing supportive care and have now started him on IV medications, but he has lost weight and his symptoms are significant. Batman needs more care than is possible in a shelter setting. This evaluation/diagnosis means that BATMAN will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Batman interacts with the observer, solicits and appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. We recommend that Batman go to a home with some cat experience preferred and be well counseled in fearfulness and decompression. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke 💔😿🙏Thank you

🆘🆘 MELBIN (ID 249191), 2 YO, MALE – IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as an agency on 3/8/2026. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 4/11/26 ➡️ NEW HOPE PARTNER RESCUE ONLY ➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST ➡️🆘🆘 4TH Chance on Emergency Placement List – BEYOND URGENT - NO ROOM IN SHELTER – WILL NOT BE GIVEN MUCH MORE TIME – VERY HIGH EU/SILENT KILL RISK – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 33 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ MELBIN IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - He is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. Melbin has been diagnosed with a grade three heart murmur and has missing teeth. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 A volunteer writes: Self starters like Melbin know that the results don't always reflect the effort and that's ok. At least, this is what he's trying to remind himself as he gets through the day. Melbin was brought to us after walking himself into someone's home. Maybe he'd heard about forever families and thought he had an idea on how to get one or maybe he just thought he'd take a chance. As it turns out, what Melbin also needed was a hand, which we've been more than happy to offer as he settles into shelter life. In the meantime, however, Melbin seems to have taken a step back from the hard work of finding a forever family by huddling in the back of his cubby. We know the Care Center can be a lot, but Melbin accepts petting even if he isn't one to ask for it. We hope you'll come in and show Melbin that all of his efforts have been well worth it. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke @mehser12 💔😿🙏Thank you

🆘🆘 CREAM (ID 250508), 1 YO, MALE– IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 3/25/2026, with the surrender reason stated as person health - debilitating injuries. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 4/11/26 ➡️ ONLY A BABY – JUST BEGINNING LIFE ➡️ 🆘🆘 1ST Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 16 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ CREAM IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - He is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥 What my friends at ACC say about me: I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you. I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe. Cream tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent and may need time to warm up to his new home. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke 💔😿🙏Thank you

BABY BOO (ID 250470), 2 YO, FEMALE – IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 3/25/2026, with the surrender reason stated as animal behavior - too unsocial. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 4/11/26 ➡️ 🆘🆘 1ST Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 16 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ BABY BOO IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - Her owner describes her as a friendly, affectionate, very active, playful, talkative, couch potato, who prefers contact on her own terms. She is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥 Baby Boo is not open to interaction at this time and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. Because her previous owner reports she is friendly and affectionate in a home environment, we believe the behavior seen in the care center is shelter-specific and this cat would make a great pet, but is really struggling in the shelter environment. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke 💔😿🙏Thank you

🆘🆘 DEE DEE (ID 251158), 12 YO, FEMALE– IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as an agency on 4/3/2026. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 4/11/26 ➡️ SENIOR ALERT ➡️ MEDICAL PRIORITY – NEEDS MORE CARE AND ATTENTION THAN THE SHELTER CAN PROVIDE ➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST ➡️ 🆘🆘 3RD Chance on Emergency Placement List – NO ROOM IN SHELTER – WILL NOT BE GIVEN MUCH MORE TIME – VERY HIGH EU/SILENT KILL RISK– 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 7 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ DEE DEE IS ON THE EPL FOR MEDICAL REASONS - Dee Dee has been diagnosed with early renal disease. Behaviorally, Dee Dee is often head bunting and soliciting attention with handlers. She would highly benefit from continued direct care and monitoring that we cannot provide. This evaluation/diagnosis means that DEE DEE will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥 A volunteer writes: Everyone knows I love seniors and DeeDee is no exception. She is a 12 year-old beautiful girl both inside and out she was brought into us by the NYPD when she was found roaming around and her owner was unable to be located. Dee Dee is so incredibly loving and just wants to be pet and loved on. I can tell that she is just looking for a cozy couch with a sun puddle and a warm lap to spend her days. I can't continue to explain how perfect I think she is, how loving I think she is, and how lucky I think anyone would be to have her as a part of their family. Seniors have no place in a shelter so please open your heart and home to this angel. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke 💔😿🙏Thank you

🆘🆘 GOOSEBERRY (ID 249407), 2 YO, FEMALE – IN STATEN ISLAND ACC - came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 3/26/2026, with the surrender reason stated as not a fit - too many animals already – PART OF HOARDING SITUATION 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 4/11/26 ➡️ NEW HOPE PARTNER RESCUE ONLY ➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST ➡️🆘🆘 4TH Chance on Emergency Placement List – BEYOND URGENT - NO ROOM IN SHELTER – WILL NOT BE GIVEN MUCH MORE TIME – VERY HIGH EU/SILENT KILL RISK – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 15 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ GOOSEBERRY IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - She is currently lunging, swatting, and hissing toward staff, which makes routine care such as cleaning and feeding difficult to complete. Gooseberry currently does not tolerate any form of touch and becomes highly stressed during interactions. Due to her under socialization and shelter stress, it is recommended that she be placed into a stable home environment with experienced adopters that are willing to slowly work with her. Medically, she had mild ocular discharge, on intake, and she is underweight. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 What my friends at ACC say about me: My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! I have lived with cats in my previous home. I'm an independent kitty who likes to do my own thing. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke 💔😿🙏Thank you
